| I have always wanted to know more about Lothiriel. Since Eomer's my favorite character, I naturally want to know all I can about his family. :) This has done wonders for my mental image and my understanding of her. She, like me, has left her childhood home, finding only when it was almost too late all the things she has loved and yet not known. "I miss the singing of the waves that I did not even realize accompanied my steps as I danced through my days." That line reminded me of so many things I, too, took for granted my entire life. Of course, she and I are very different in that I've never cared for the sea, and I bet she could never be happy in a desert :), but all in all, your short peice has turned her into one of my favorite characters. :) (Would you believe that the cicadas sound different in Virginia than they do in Texas? I like the Texan ones better. :) ) | |
