This is just the best, Levade. I don't know what I expected when I read this, but I honestly wanted to stand up and cheer when I had finished. It is so haunting. Perfect for Halloween. thanks so much.

Very atmospheric, Levade. Haunting, in an unconventional way. I liked your use of language and accent to give your narrator personality. Well done! LKK

Oh, what a lovely if chilling thing to see - the elves in all their ethereal glory passing through at twilight? Ghosts? Elves who have 'faded', who have bodies nearly consumed by the fea and can only be seen at such times? Wonderful interpretation of that passage about Hollin, Levade. :D

This was beautiful and poetic in all its prosaic language. The elves really were hautingly evoked. I'm going to look for them all day in the fields around here (including the one behind my house - and wouldn't that be great!)

This was wonderful and beautifully evocative. I love the concept of the land remembering the elves. I also like the "dialogue" about "Da" etc. Well done!

Oh, how wonderful! I sat here and goose bumps came up over my flesh and tears filled my eyes and I believed. I felt like I was right there, my breath in frosty puffs, as I watched the phantom parade pass by. Your writing captured the scene, the moment, the mood. There are not words to explain how this little tale stirred me. The land remembers, and I will remember, too - this tale from you. Wonderful! And I say again: Wonderful!

Very good rendition of the memories of the land. I like your take and the setting of the boy and his Da gathering the hay in the twilight. Not eery, but hauntinly beautiful. The description of the Elves was well done, too. I could just see the procession of beings of unearthly beauty and nobility. A fitting Halloween tale. I really enjoyed it...both times. I read it again when it came back up at the end. I realize it was a copy error, but it was good one! :>) Karen
