The Roses of Ilúvatar  by Orophins Dottir 2 Review(s)
daw the minstrelReviewed Chapter: 6 on 12/4/2003
What a sweetie this child is. I think he is right. Legolas does need him.

Author Reply: He is sweet. I've always been curious about what Eldarion must have been like. So, his story is now continuing in the new chapter of "Jewels". He is starting to learn what he needs to be king. The realities of life seem more appropriate to Gimli's side of this tale.

As ever, thank you for the review. Writing into a void would be difficult!

Oooh, I love this chapter! What an incredible insight into Eldarion's complex character -- such a child still, and yet surrounded by ancient, courageous, legendary beings as role models. I never once thought about what Eldarion would look like, or what his childhood would be like. This is *so* good.

Author Reply: *bows low and blushes* Thank you for the very kind review. I have always been fscinated about Eldarion. All we are told in the books is that Aragorn is confident that his son is ready to be king, so confident that he himself can lay down the burden he has been carrying and die. Where and how did Eldarion acquire the strength that he would need? His story continues today in the new chapter of "Jewels". I hope you will let me know what you think!
