Yes, there is the promise of rescue now. Wonderful understanding here on the part of all.

Author Reply: Thank you. Glorfindel is such an enigmatic character, it's interesting to try to see things from his point of view.

Yay, I have finally had full Internet access restored.. and now I get an extra half-hour per night from my Internet provider! *grin* Yes, I'm sure you figured out I'm back by now *grin* Anyhoos, I'm way off-topic, I'd better get on with my review. Yeah.

Poor Frodo... it has to be very frightening with his nighttime vision disappearing like that.. for some odd reason I thought his day vision would decrease and his night increase... *shrug*

Haha, Aragorn used to have little one as a nickname by Glorfindel.. perhaps that is the reason he now calls Frodo that? *smirks*

“I watched him grow up,” the Elf continued. “Perhaps, as we travel, you would enjoy hearing about his childhood?”

*raises hand* Oooh, ohhh, I wanna hear details of his childhood *giggles*

I am strangely hyper for 10:34 at night.. then again I've always een more fond of night. Just an oddity of me.

Ahh, well, I suppose I better go to bed.. maybe. (Sleep? Whjat's that? Does it taste yummy?) Night! Hapy writing!

Oh, such a magnificent writer. Attentive on details and dialogue... though I could ramble on and on about this. :)

This makes me want to actually see how elves are supposed to look... okay, so maybe this also makes me want to go to M.E., heh, but I was instantly charmed by this chapter when you mentioned Frodo seeing 'two worlds'. That little phrase is somehow chilling and unique. Oh, you're just too wonderful at this, I hope to acquire a talent to writing as well as yours.

Merry and Sam's characters strike me most about this chapter (besides Frodo, of course ;D ). Even though Sam is always taking care of Frodo and being gentle with him, in here he seems even more gentle, caring for Frodo like cracked glass and a burning fire at the same time, if you know understand me. ;) And, as always, your way of writing Merry is right on the dot of how I imagine him being like.

Can't wait for more... ooh, will this end without the extraction of the Murgul Blade, or will that be included? Just curious. ;-D

Hey there, Shire! I'm still very much with you on this story, and really enjoying it. When you said you were including Glorfindel, I too, waited rather breathlessly for his arrival, and I loved it! You protrayed him beautifully, just as I imagined him when reading the books. Well done. Can't wait to find out what happens at the Ford and in Rivendell. (they get to talk to Legolas, right?)

I hope you don't take too much thinking ;) I want quick chapters! I like how you wrote each hobbits reaction to Glorfindel and how Pippin got right to what he wanted to know! Wonderful! Something I have appreciated about your stories is they are book based, I love the movies and all but I'm always pleased when someone keeps more with the books. Thank you for the chapter and as always looking forward to more!

I got the notice from ff.net, but the chapter wasn't up yet, so I came here. I liked that you had Merry and Pippin being a bit disappointed. Merry in the lack of numbers and Pip that it wasn't his hero, Gandalf!

I just looked at the meeting with Glofindel in the book and Wow!, you are doing such a wonderful job of blending your stuff with Tolkien's! Marvelous!! Your stories are always such a joy to read!

I really loved your description of the different ways the Hobbits perceived Glorfindel as well as the different ways they greeted him. Merry's 'every word sounded as if it was the opening note of a song' was about the most vivid description of an Elf's voice I've read so far. But now I am curious as to the stories about Estel's childhood Glorfindel had promised to tell (given Aragorn's reaction to Glorfindel's suggestion, they should be ... interesting ... if, maybe, a bit embarassing for the poor Ranger).

Glorfindel is here! Excuse all silliness, but you know he is my primary muse and he is absolutely thrilled to show up in your story :)

I love that Frodo can see him as he really is, but also fearful for that means Frodo is edging into the shadow world. I hope Glorfindel does tell the hobbits all about Estel as a child - that will provide hours of amusement and help them through the slowness of these last hours. I am sure the hobbits will fascinate Glorfindel too.

I am also reading 'The Cursed Queen of Angmar', and the Witch-King definitely fears Glorfindel, whom he calls a mighty hunter that he does not want pursuing him. To be reading that, and then to have your Glorfindel mention the Witch-King (and knowing Glorfindel vanquished him from Angmar) just gives me a wonderful sense of the stories pulling together as different threads in Tolkien's vast world.
