It has to be...if the One Ring falls into the wrong hands... Author Reply: That would have been terrible, for sure.

I'm just loving your hobbit stories. :-) It's nice to get a look at Frodo without the responsibility of the Ring pressing on him -- what they must have all been like before. Fun story, thanks! Author Reply: Thank you so much. It's such fun to find "the lighter side" of Middle-earth. I first read the books in the 1970s, and my love for hobbits has never faded.

Wow - Lobelia, so she could have been. I can even hear her taffeta dress rustling (I'm sure she's dressed in it for this special occasion) :-) I'm glad Sam will stay here. The last line made me laugh, Sam is soooo lovely, isn't he? Thank you again, Janet - you made my afternoon! I'll be back soon. Author Reply: I loved writing that last line! Glad it made you laugh. :)

Mmmmmm… this is going to be my favourite story. Again you PAINTED with words, my dear. Breakfast at Bag End, our beloved hobbits around. I fell like sitting in a corner and simply watching them, listening to them, listening to you. I’m with Frodo “I have good friends, Bilbo,” Frodo whispered. “I don’t know what you could have in here that’s any better than that.” I Love my friend Shirebound a lot, Julchen Author Reply: And I love my friends that much too, Julchen. How lucky we all are to have found one another. *hugs*

This is soooo lovely, Janet. Poor Frodo, here alone at Bag End. But it’s a peaceful silence you’ve created. I can face him so clearly… “You can face anything in Middle-earth, Bilbo, dragons and trolls and goblins --- but not saying goodbye to me. Because you love me. Thank you for loving me so much, Bilbo. I love you, too. And I’ll be all right.” Heartwarming and lovingly written, Shire. I’m looking forward to the next part. Thank you, Julchen Author Reply: Thank you, Julchen. I can't write hobbits with anything but love.

“Frodo can’t imagine anyone acting like that, Mer,” said Pippin. “He’s too nice.” “Not to mention rich,” Merry grinned. “And good looking,” added Pippin. “Dangerous combination, that.” ... The next time anyone calls you ‘cracked’, just say you’re proud of it!” declared Pippin. “That’ll make ‘em even more confused, and maybe they’ll stop saying it.” “Good idea, Pip,” mused Frodo. “I think I might just do that.” I LOVE THIS! I'm glad Frodo isn't alone, Merry and Pip are sooo hobbit and sooo lovely. I can't stop smiling, little one. Thank YOU! Author Reply: Thank you, Julchen! I'm so happy you're enjoying this story. Cousin-y banter and teasing is just about my favorite thing to write.

You made me smile all the time while reading this. It's soooo wonderful and funny. “Come on, Mr. Frodo --- I’ll show you where the kitchen is.” “That’s not funny, Sam.” This made me laugh! Thank you, little wordpainter - thank you again! *smiles* Author Reply: Those lines made *me* laugh, too! :)
