It has to be...if the One Ring falls into the wrong hands...

Author Reply: That would have been terrible, for sure.

I'm just loving your hobbit stories. :-) It's nice to get a look at Frodo without the responsibility of the Ring pressing on him -- what they must have all been like before. Fun story, thanks!

Author Reply: Thank you so much. It's such fun to find "the lighter side" of Middle-earth. I first read the books in the 1970s, and my love for hobbits has never faded.

My dear Shirebound,
I LOVE the way you portrayed Frodo's relationship with his cousins. Sam's courage at the end was very funny!! "and Pippin falling off the table in amazement." That's good....drunk Pip fallin off a table! This whole story was wonderful!! Great ending!! Namarie, mellon nin! GOd Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author Reply: Thank you, Frodo! I had such a wonderful time writing this story; I'm thrilled that folks are still discovering and enjoying it.

I didn't think Sam had it in him, either! :-) Very Good! (applause!)

Heading back to the library...

I'm still laughing at Pippin and the cakes. I read the first chapter ages ago on ff.net, so I'm very glad to discover it finished. It was a very interesting account of what the hobbits did between Bilbo leaving and Frodo leaving in the movie-verse.

Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! What a challenge this story was, trying to be true to *movie* verse instead of book canon.
