I loved the fact that Frodo and Estel teased each other about needing a bath...and that Sam would greet the Horse before the horseman!!! Lovely Helen

J, this is so totally warm and fuzzy! I might need to print out a hard copy so I can snuggle with it on the couch. :) You're making me want to get my daughter that puppy she's been begging for, even though I know it'll grow up into a big ole slobbery dog that I'll have to feed and walk! You've captured the joys and frustrations of owning a puppy beautifully. I laughed out loud more than once.

Finally got a few moments to read chapter 1, but no time for chapter 2! Ah, well, something to look forward to. I just love the "realness" of your stories... *** His usually stern countenance softened as he watched Frodo instinctively cup his hands around the puppy on his chest as if to shield her from… something. The tiny dog inspected his sleeve and nosed inside it. You’ve moved right in, haven’t you?” Bilbo whispered, crouching to pat the dog on the head. “You rascal.” The pup thumped her small tail on the bed, narrowly missing Frodo’s nose. Bilbo chuckled and gave her a few more pats, before blowing out the lamp and leaving the room -- feeling quite satisfied with the evening’s outcome. *** Moments like these "make" a story and bring the characters to life. Write on!

I am looking at a dog crate - maybe I could send it to the shire? I am so glad to see Estel in this story, and under such good circumstances. Frodo is having typical puppy problems..and I still fill in holes dug in the yard. Thank goodness when the puppy teeth are gone. We played lots of tug to massage those gums :D Loving this sweet story Nilmandra PS It used to be two dogs and three cats. Fortunately, the bird sleeps in his cage - much safer that way.

Great story! Plus it gave me a reason/excuse for rereading a few chapters of Quarantined!:) Pretty much everything you write turns out right!

Awwwww!!!!!! That is such a cute beginning! Scamp is too cute! And the way she just sort of picked Frodo was so adorable. I can hardly wait to see where this story goes. I'm going to guess that Scamp digs up whatever treasure is hidden in Bag End. I'll just have to wait and see, won't I? Update soon, I'm dying to know! -Little Mouse

Hey! I'm back! I love the beginnings of this story! Scamp is such a cute name for a dog! I'm glad you didn't name it Anna though, because that is my name. Don't get me wrong, it was a good idea, but all the same, I'm glad you didn't. It would have been weird reading a story about a dog with my name. But I would have read it anyway! Your stories are simply irresistible! Keep up the great work! Hope*Springs*Eternal (Anna)

Oh, J! This is fabulous! I am so in love with Frodo and little Scamp. :) I just love your "Quarantined" universe and having a new story written there makes me want to squeal and jump for joy! Eeeeeee! I can hardly wait for Frodo to introduce Scamp to Estel.
