Moriquendi – The Eryn Lasgalen Cycle  by fan81981 109 Review(s)

I must say that the dialogue between Thranduil and Rhinure was the best I've ever read. It was great, really. Her conversation with Cothion was amazing... it seems to me that deep inside she is changing because of Legolas... she has questions and she is getting a little bit confused. She is a great woman...
I hope the next chapter comes soon (no pressure!) because... I can't believe you ended there... OMG! I want to know what will happen there...
I love the way you describe people's emotions. I am never tired of waiting for more chapters of Moriquendi! Thanks for updating today... the day I hope it will be the first of my winter break!!!

Author Reply: I am back after a long, long hiatus - known as crunch time at work - and slowly de-numbing my brain. Too much work is bad for one, I have realised and suicidal for fan-fic writers.

I am glad you enjoyed the dialogue between Thranduil and Rhinure. I was trying so hard to show that beneath all that self-sacrificing nobility there is a lot of hurt petulance that is dying to get out. Poor thing is such a child sometimes, and Thranduil gets it. He understands, and that is scary. I, myself, hate it when people understand where all my anger is coming from. It is shameful and humbling at the same time – two not very comfortable emotions.

I hope you will wait just a little longer while I finish the next chapter. I know its been a while but I hope you all will forgive me.

I shiver with anticipation with what is to come:-D Personally I think Legolas really needs to set his foot down and tell her to stop acting like a silly immature elfling... "I don't dance." How rude! And inconsiderate! And then to insult the Queen! tsk.. tsk... I don't think Legolas should have really danced with someone other than his wife, but hopefully it showed Rhinure that Legolas could have chosen any ellyth, but dutifully married her instead. Does she even realize what Thranuduil forced Legolas to do? I find myself rather upset with her and hopefully she will get a good tongue lashing... But no Cothion to comfort her... Or else Legolas might kill him;-) And if looks could kill I bet Cothion would already be dead:-) Awesome chapter and I eagerly look forward to more~

Author Reply: I agree - setting down a few rules may not be a bad idea. Though with Rhinure you never know. She should have danced. Sometimes we all do things we don't like because our friends want us to. She really has to learn to do that. For me the interesting bit was that she is so open to doing these unpleasant things when it comes to her people but when it comes to her personal life she is very uncompromsing. It's as if she gives in so much otherwise that she feels that enough is enough. And legolas gets the short end of the stick.

Must work on her a little. a little balance is required. Will do that as soon as I get home. Thanks for reviewing.

So much tension! I need more! I can't wait to see this next intercourse. Their communication is so akward and stilted. Loverly. Lily

Author Reply: Communication may be giving them too much credit - they talk but they don't listen. Especially Rhinure. Until they do - well tension will be the least of their problems.

Fan, no one writes sexual tension better than you do. I am in awe. And also, I want to know what the connection was between the queen and Rhinure. Your Thranduil is smart and wily; your Legolas's anger is palpable. This was just a gloriously fun read.

Author Reply: *blush* thank you (I think). Wait until you see/read the next few chapters. Tension is mounting. The queen and Rhinure - well at the rate I go, that may be a whole other story.

Thank you for reading over the chapter. Nil seems too overworked. Must send her a nice, error free chapter next time to make up for this one.

Ohh, the dress dosen't suit her. That's so perfectly . . . sad. Poor Legolas is trying so hard. I feel for him Rhinure frustrates me as much as she makes me feel for her. I can see how te rose would bother Legolas. I wonder what made Cothion give it to her though. Is the reason he gives all? Or did he do it partly to affect Legolas? Or would an Avari even think of that? hmmm It makes me wonder.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author Reply: To be honest, I made the dress unflattering for I have read too many ball room scenes in which the heroine is stunningly beautiful in any old thing she wears. And from personal experience I know that if you are not careful the loveliest dress can look horrendous on a person. *shudder* The memories.

I hope you won't have to wait for too long for an update. Next chapter is with my beta. Pray she gets time to read it so that I can post.

I just loved this chapter. As always worth the waiting! Legolas' bodyguard thoughts were great, he really worries about Rhinure and Legolas' relationship. And the avari reaction to see their Mistress in gown like that... But the best was Legolas jealous. It was so cute, I mean, he feels something very strong for her. Really nice. And Thranduil's speech was touching. Thanks for this wonderful chapter.

Author Reply: I am relieved that you liked the speech. It took for forever and a day to write that - just couldn't get the wording right. As for Herenion, well he is Herenion - I love the guy. He is so sweet, like a overbearing uncle sometimes. :)

Well that was a fine ride. I loved how once again, these two lovers simply can't get into each other's heads. The politics is great as well. Thanks for your hard work and please update soon,

Author Reply: The next chapter is with my beta. As soon as she okays it I will post. I know it had been a while for which I apologise, but work has been a nightmare. My vacation got cancelled for my boss could not let me leave. WAH!

Hello..... Am absolutely thrilled that you posted....:-) I was curious, does Rhinure have any idea what she is doing to Legolas? Or is it just unintentional.. and subconcious....? Poor Legolas, I truly feel for him... He is trying so hard to understand Rhinure...

Does Rhinure know that she is invited to Faramir's wedding? And does Rhinure know that Legolas has the sea longing?.... Very curious.... :-) Am happy you posted and hope you post soon!

Author Reply: If Rhinure doesn't have an idea now, she will soon. Am working on that particular. Won't tell you too much about it for it would spoil it for you - that is if you are reading still.

And in answer to one of your questions - no she does not know Legolas has the sea-longing. That will come soon(ish) too. Wait for it. ;)

Hello.

I've never reviewed your stories before. I want to be brutally honest so that is what I will be. When I started to read Moriquendi a long while ago I didn't like it, but then I started to read them near the very beginning of this year. I now am a faithful reader and have fallen in love with the stories. I was itching to tell you this and I'm sorry for my partial insult earlier.
I love how Leoglas had chosen the dress for Rhinure but then it didn't suit her. I am with Legolas on removing that rose, even if it does look gorgeous on her. Another thing i love about your stories are how the Avari are very honest. I think it completely suits them. Thank you very much for writing.

Bye bye.

Author Reply: Welcome to the behemoth I think of as my story. Hope you will continue reading though I haven't updated in a while. If you didn't like Moriquendi in the beginning that is your right. Especially since you are reading now. :D To be honest, I feel the beginning is a little weak. When I have the time (far far in the future the way things are going), I am going to fix. Tweak it if nothing else.
