How wonderful! And didn't Treebeard ask Merry and Pippin to look out for Entwives in the Shire? He was right! Thank you for this lovely little story! Author Reply: Yes, Tree beard di ask Merry and Pip to lookout for them - perhaps he thought the Shire a likely destination (if they managed to escape the darkness). I've always wanted to re-unite the Ents and Entwives. :-)

Oh my! I don't know how I missed this one! How wonderful for them to receive such a visitation on the Eastern side of the Sea! Author Reply: Glad you liked it - that particular plot bunny would not let go of my ankle! I could see Yavanna in the garden at Bag End. Perhaps she heard about the Ringbearers from Olorin and decided to have a look for herself.

So that's where they ended up, makes sense when you think about it! Now to get them to Treebeard or Treebeard to them, or they could meet in the middle, which would be about Eregon, so maybe not! I do like your little snippits, I might not review but I do read them. Lynda Author Reply: Thank you so much for the review, Lynda. It is always lovely to see what readers think about a story. I've always thought that the Shire was the most likely place for the Enwives if they managed to escape the darkness spreading across the Brown Lands. Hope you continue to enjoy the snippets!

Oh! Oh! You can't stop here! Are the Entwives going to return to Fangorn? Or will Treebeard journey to the Shire to see them? BTW, I've always thought Hal saw an Entwife rather than an Ent; glad to know someone else agrees. (OT: I know you like my "Eucatastrophe-verse"; I can't post the one I'm working on here at SoA because it's a crossover. Do you want to know when it goes up?) Author Reply: Ah! You will find out the answer to your question when I post the next chapter of "A Realm Regained" - had to post this first! Oooh! So glad someone else thinks Hal saw an Entwife. I've always thought the Shire was the obvious place for them. I would love to know when the story goes up - I do love your "Eucatastrophe-verse"! BTW, did you like the previous chapter (39)?

What pure delight to find an update from you, BB. And, as always, your tale makes me feel so peaceful and full of hobbity joy. A wonderful story... even the Ents and Entwives deserve a happily ever after. Author Reply: Thanks Shirebound - you win the prize again! I think the Ents and Entwives deserve a happy ever after - and it means more Entings! Bit obsessed with trees at the moment - the 500 year old oak in my local historic park dropped a massive branch on Thursday. Such a shame as it was such a wonderful shape.

Beautiful! And a great honour for Frodo and Sam! But even if we put aside the fact that Frodo and Sam were Ringbearers, I can very well understand that the Lady Yavanna chose a hobbit garden to dance in :-) Author Reply: Thanks, Andrea. I thought it would be nice for Yavanna to visit the Shire and I agree it would be appropriate for her to dance in a hobbit garden. What better garden than Bag End?

Wow...what a great fic and a great honor for our Ringbearers! Author Reply: Thank you for the review. This idea just wouldn't go away so I had to write it, but I think Yavanna would be the one to visit the Shire.

My children, best beloved echoed in their minds, and both felt a wave of love and joy This is so joyous and beautiful, BB! I'm insatiable when it comes to our beloved Bag End family and those who love and respect them. What a special and glorious experience for Frodo and Sam, and for us as well. Author Reply: Thank you, Shirebound. We hobbity folk do love our Bag End family! I thought Frodo and Sam deserved something special.

This is quite charming and happy. Reads like an old folk tale. :o) Author Reply: Thank you for the review. I usually write happy hobbits! Glad to hear that it reads like a folk tale though.

What a sweet story! And what a delightful for those in the West to see their loved ones they had left behind - Bilbo to see his lad and know that lad is as loved and taken care of as ever and Elrond and Celebrian to see their daughter. Love remark of Bilbo about Gandalf's ears at the beginning and the mention of Frodo and Sam's light near the end and the snowball fight too. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
