Hi, Timmy!

Great ending. I'm sorry to lose you to fanfiction; I've enjoyed all of your tales. Are you getting your other works published? Drop a hint to all of us, so we can look for your novels in the bookstores! Best of luck.

Author Reply: Hi Gandalf's Apprentice,

thanks for your support and your confidence! I cannot say if I will ever manage to get one of the stories published, but, hey, one can ever hope.
Take good care of yourself,

Yeah they made it out of Moria, with the hammer and Gollum. Plus new friendships between the dwarves and the men. If they look arround them, they might find a package of bandages. The man that was bringing it to them (not the ups man), was rescued by Lassie (seems his name is Timmmy). Anyways on his way down the stairs, he left it by a rock, that is shaped like a duck.

Author Reply: LOL! OK, I need a moment to calm down and take a breather. Well, grumpy, that was hilarious. Ah, well, Moria's wonderland... But, wait, where's the UPS man? Got an Orc to sign his clipboard? Got out? Watched the fight and headed straight back to his motorcycle? Or did he come by horse to not frighten the poor inhabitants of Middle-earth? Let's hope for him that he won't get a package to be delivered to the Balrog...

I could feel their relief to be in the fresh air again !Another lovely moment for Aragorn and young Daevan.I loved the way you developed this friendship.

Author Reply: Thanks a bunch. Could have named the story 'How Friendship Goes' or something like that, but, hey, what's in names? But there is still much to learn for the young man (not at last about Strider *g*).

A big sigh of relief! AAAHHH! Sun and fresh air finally! Their finally out! I can finally sit down and relax a while. Is it over or is there more to come?

A couple of your reviews were saying goodbye to you as if you are going to retire from writing. Are you done? Are you really retiring? If so, I am very sad about this. I really hate to see you go as I have enjoyed this fic and your other two as well (Castle 1 & 2 and Twilight of the Gods). If it is, I just want to say a big Thank You for entertaining me.

Author Reply: Hi RS,

happy to have been able to entertain you! And I truly don't retire from writing. Just changing genres, so to say. If you want to send me a PM, and I'll gladly explain.

Ha! they are out! and they won! but even more important they won the trust of the dwarves , which is not a thing that easy to do I might add. I really admire Daevan and how hes grown on this journey ,if not for him I think Aragorn might have been a goner long ago.(and Im glad the bad guys got what was coming to them)

Author Reply: Loved that wording "might have been a goner". Sums up pretty nicely what would have happened to the *hero* of Tolkien's novel without his sidekick.

Wait...hold on...say, stop already...Whoa I say! Wow! My heart is still pounding after reading this chapter. You really know how to create excitement. I was totally enthralled the whole way through and there were a number of scenes where I could actually picture this happening like the scenes from FOTR. Incredible writing. Daevan has grown up in a hurry, Strider is as valiant as ever, and the orcs...well, what can I say? Their sheer lack of 'organizational skills' coupled with consummate badness just make them the villains we love to hate! Hmmmm. Nasty promise Gurim makes here -- Strider and Daeven better be careful or they'll end up as orc stew! Ew...that just sounded wrong. Oh well...BTW, I've been watching the original Sharpe series. Bean does look quite yummy I must say and the show (other than some incredibly cheesy music on occasion) is very well done. Sorry for the horribly long delay in reviewing. RL, you know...I have a feeling your story will be drawing to a close soon, but if that's so, it must give you a good feeling to be leaving on such a high note. Excellent writing 'Timmy'. It's been a joy to share the fandom with you. See you at the next chapter.

Author Reply: Hi Viggomaniac,

yes, RL becomes a burden some times *g*. Same here. Thanks for your knds words anyway. Hope your heart stood the challenge and has calmed down now. Daevan truly had no chance to stay the innocent lad from the marshes, had he? Not in this universe, so to say. Glad I could entertain you and yes, the story's ending is drawing closer. I am always amazed at how long it takes from writing to complete posting. Gee!
Bean as 'Sharpe' is best you can get. There are some other movies I'd recommend. If you find the time we can chat that on a PM base. What do you think?

Alright, they reached the gate, I do hope they get way past it. Glad to see that Strider is still on his feet, Poor Daevan is in need of some bandages, as are the rest of the party. Remember Daevan you must not use the axe.
Ups man has caught sight of a large group of orcs, is heading after them, still hoping to get his clipboard signed. Has a few choice words to say to his boss.

Author Reply: Wasn't there someone around with bandages and a large, large first aid kit? That man should head to the small fighting group before the men and Dwarves collapse on the steps.
UPS man is of encouraging persistence. Someone, who really knows what *dedication to the job* means. I recommend him for a promotion. If he makes it.

Wow! What a chapter! What a story! You truly are a brilliant writer! I shall certainly miss you in the fandom.

Oh, dang, excellent, excellent story. My heart was pounding the whole time! Really quite brilliant.

Author Reply: Hope your heart calmed down in the meantime, and thanks for the praise. Yes, I will miss you all, too, when this story will be done posting. But even great times have to end some day.

Was able to borrow a bit of computer time tonight. Love the use of Aule's hammer against the orcs, and truly doubt the Vala of the Earth will begrudge it. Aule himself probably helped Daevan wield it.

And to see the different reactions is wonderful as well.

Hope to catch up in a few days' time.

Author Reply: So glad you're back and that you liked it. Yes, the thought was that the hammer has some 'life' of its own...
