| Whew! Where did you dig up all those names?! Do you, like me, keep a copy of RotK next to the computer so you can reference the Appendices? Bravo! I was even more impressed by that than by the phrase, "Well, perhaps 'scoff' isn't the right word. I believe... 'been thoroughly appalled' is more accurate." That got a good, long chuckle out of me! I notice they didn't invite Hugo . . . Le Rouret Author Reply: Hehe, as a matter of fact, RotK does tend to be within reach of my chair at the computer. I've picked that thing up so many times the past few weeks that I've almost got the appendicies memorized. :P And no, it looks like they didn't invite Hugo. I'd planned on tying that loose end up, but when I sat down and wrote the wedding, it (as well as some other things I'd wanted to include) got buried under everything else. Maybe I'll find a place to stick it later on when I edit the story... I really appreciate the feedback, thanks so much! | |

| HURRAY! I beat Coriel to the newest chapter this time! I just happened to be lucky enough to be on SoA and saw the update, so I came as quick as I could. Another beautiful chapter! One "Forgetful Innkeeper in Bree" had better get himself a new mail carrier. Better yet, people had better stop giving him their mail. Maybe it would get to its destination on time for once. :) Speaking of "had betters", Merry and Estella had better hurry up and get married. I don't think she will be able to wait much longer. How much you want to bet she keeps a tight lesh on him for the first year or so. Keep him *and* Pip in line. :) They need some female authority in the house. | |

| Hm, I seem to have missed a couple of updates! Those two stubborn, hard-headed hobbits! I'm glad you resolved it (though really, what choice do you have if you want to be cannon?) but just the fact that Merry is leaving for a year means something ELSE is going to happen . . . I loved how Sam spoke with a bloody nose; it reminded me of Bilbo saying, "Thag you berry buch" in Esgaroth! So -- when are you going to get back to Pippin and Diamond? ;-) Thanks for the story!
