Wonderful! I love seeing the passion between Thranduil and his betrothed. I imagine it was her strength that helped him cope. Her courage in the face of Thranduil's wounds, emotional and physical, was very touching.

I'm glad the chapter seemed to flow properly. Finals week and coherent prose don't usually coexist. ;)

Very happy to see this continue! Thranduil over his father's grave was very well done!

Wow, This story took a turn for the worse. I mean that, when I think back to the first story, there was such light-heartedness and nothing that seemed to break the peaceful lives that Oropher and co. lived. But now the angst just never seems to let go of Thranduil, I truly feel sorry for him. I love how you express his emotions without revealing too much on how he is really feeling. I don't think I have ever come across a fic that has so much depth after the results of the Last Alliance, I truly am impressed and it feels as though I am experiencing Thranduil's sorrow for myself. Their marriage only seems to be a small respite from the angst. I truly appreciate your work and am always looking forward to what happens next. Thank you for putting so much effort into your series.

Don't worry; the angst will lighten with time. I'm glad you're still enjoying the story; all the best stuff is yet to come. ;)

*Harumph* Posting without telling me. -_-

Anyhoo - it seems that Thranduil sped up your timeline a bit. He's been like that through this whole thing, hasn't he?

Oh, and there's one word missing that I saw. ". . . dressed severely *in* his darkest greens and indeed genuine black . . ."

So, yeah. *sticks out tongue*

I knew you'd say that. :P I would have run it past you if I hadn't been late already. Darn typos. ;)

Ahhhh! Yes, I know; it's terrible! Ummm . . . I think I can promise something before the end of April. It's just that within the next two weeks I have three term papers and two presentations coming due, and the stress factor is threatening to drive me to an early grave, much to the consternation of the Woodland King. o_O

So, stand by, and I'll see what I can do. ;)

Hey, I am back to leave a review. This was a really sad chapter, but I just know that Thranduil will pull through his grief in order to become the king that he was meant to be, as well as a husband and father. Alot of people will be looking up to him for guidance. Well, he known as the greatest king Greenwood as ever had so I'm sure his father would be very proud of him.

Ah, she is returned! Very glad to know you are back and to see you posting here again. :)

Galadhmir was wonderful in this prologue. His speech to Thranduil was perfect. Indeed, there was nothing he could say to that. Their departure from the war was an heartrending closure to another phase in both their lives. The grief of those that await them in Greenwood will not be easy to bear either.

The great story and great writing keeps bringing me back to this saga. And wanting to read more.

Hope you enjoyed Rome, but thanks for coming home!
