I was so surprised to see this and so pleased. I read this a while back up to the last chapter and I hoped you would continue it. I am enjoying how you portray Thranduil and Legolas in this. And I thought the funeral was nicely done so not to worry. I'm very glad to see this continued.

I an hooked on this story, all your stories. I like the way that you have the 3 elven rulers as friends. So many authors show Thrandruil as an advisary to Elrond and Celeborn. Though I understand the back ground of the three and how strained there relationship could be, in my private world of Middel Earth, I see the three as equals and friends. (Though, I can understand why Thrandruil would not like Galadrial much. I wouldn't like anyone who could pry into my thoughts like she does.)

I know you are in the middle of another work--which I also love--but I just ran across this. I hope you finish it!!!!

Poor Thranduil! Despite the gathering of powerful friends around him, his suffering is palpable. Legolas is a delight and clearly charms all who meet him, I can only assume that not only does he help pull Thranduil through this, but whatever softness remains in Thranduil afterwards will no doubt be because of the elfling.
This is a wonderful story, if sad, and I await the next installment eagerly!

It was a lovely surprise to see an update for this wonderful story I so love the Thranduil you write. He is so real and so strong and so vulnerable. It is plain that his son takes after him!
Also like the way you bring in Elrond another elf who seems to me to be just right when you write him
does that make sense?
Anyway it was a great chapter and look forward to reading more

What a tragedy. Thranduil is lucky to have friends to fuss over him and a child to love him and need him.

*snif* *sob* Poor Thranduil. I also love the characterization of Elrond, Arwen, and Gandalf. The elf-king is lucky to have such friends in his time of need. Great story.
