Dear Lady Bluejay justed wanted you yo know how much I am enjoying your story, hope you update soon. Do you do about one chapter a month? I will put you in my favs Hugs The Imp

Author Reply: Well I am trying for three weeks but it depends on Real Life. Once Eomer and Lothiriel finally meet it will hopefully get a bit quicker because a lot is already written. Thanks very much for reviewing.LBJ

Great story! It really pulled me in. I love the adventures Lothiriel is going through, my heart really goes out to her, and I hope everything turns out ok. I felt so sorry for Eomer's friends, but I feel you are making everything so realistic there for a young man and leader. I can't wait for the next part!

Author Reply: Glad you are enjoying. Thanks for taking the time to review. LBJ

I started this last evening and I couldn't stop reading it! It was very intense. I hadn't read any of it before so it was all new to me, which is wonderful. Poor Lothiriel with losing her 'innocence' that way and having to be afraid all of the time now. It's so tough for her over those four years and then she meets, I think, Mithrandir, is my guess. Her poor family during that week and how they suffered.

Eomer's struggles are not a lot of fun either, though in a totally different way. I do hope that his feels for Bergit will subside because that's not a good situation!

Well done story and I look forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: Congrats if you read it all in one go, and thanks for reviewing. It's my first real angst and will get worse. Eomer and Begit are not through yet!LBJ

Good for Eomer. A good use of a mirror. Now Edwick is getting over the sorry-for-himself stage, he should be OK - since is is brave and heroic and loving.

And 'Seron' has plans for Lothiriel ... Somehow the vision of him meticulously arranging the little things, so that the big things have to flow along a path of his making is very, very Mithrandir.

Author Reply: Eomer is already showing his leadership qualities and I am sure Edwick will come to terms with his injury.

Glad you think my Mithrandir is in character.

Thanks for reading and reviewing - you must be between stories to have read four chapters! LBJ

Well - I'm glad Lothiriel found a 'friend'. Who knows she's going to marry a blond from the North. (Although it'll take more than that knowledge to keep Mr Slime away from her.

And Bergit needs a friend - so it's a good thing Eomer's there. He might not be able to foresee a need to be there so far ahead he needs to check what year it is, but he'll certainly be able to help to some extent.

Author Reply: Mr Slime causes a great load of trouble - but he gets his just desserts in the end.

Eomer has had a soft spot for Bergit since the beginning - that does not change.LBJ

Elphir's might have learned diplomacy - but Lothiriel certainly hasn't. On the other hand, he might acquire a wife he's not too keen on, but he doesn't risk being sold for Gondor's benefit to a nasty perverted sadist of a man.

And Eomer's coming on well.

Author Reply: Well Lothy is still very young. And I have yet to find Elphir a wife but I am not a cruel person!

Eomer is always well!!LBJ

“A sword in the guts would be best,” Elphir murmured.

There's a prince with a good grasp of diplomacy! (Not that he's wrong.)

I think Lothiriel's ... mental powers ... will probably come in very handy at some point. Although Orion doubtless thinks they've already had their uses!

As will the bolt-hole, I fear. Edwick is a good man.

Author Reply: Elphir improves with age - well at least he is able to hide his real thoughts!
Lothy has a lot to do in her life and yes - the bolt hole will come in handy.LBJ

Poor Bergit! I would sink under all that work and the recent events. Eomer is so gallant to her and it makes me wish all men were like him. I'm glad though that her husband has gotten rid of his pride to make baskets. Reminds me of another story here at SoA.

I like that Lothiriel won't be a spoiled princess. She'll learn what it's like to work and she won't be naive about the world which'll make her wiser hopefully.

I enjoyed this chapter a lot! Thanks for writing!

Author Reply: No, I don't usually make my Lothiriels spoilt - although its an idea.*grins* Thanks for reviewing - I hope you continue to enjoy.LBJ

Wow, I was just thinking about this story and lo and behold, an update! Loved it as usual. I like how Eomer is showing his leadership skills by setting an example for Edwick. And I also like all the foreshadowing you've got in there. Can't wait for more!

Author Reply: He has to prove himself in his early years to turn in to the character we love in the book. Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

>>>Éomer quickly unsaddled Fireball and installed him in the other stable; he’d come and groom him properly when he had found out what was going on.

Do you mean Firefoot instead of Fireball?

I love this so far. Now I have to wonder who that Seron person is... Is he a character introduced by Tolkien or an OC?

How old is Lothiriel supposed to be in this and Eomer?

Thanks for writing!

Author Reply: Hi Alquawende,

I wondered if someone would ask me that. Fireball is the horse Eomer had before Firefoot. He inherited from his father. Dont forget the Ring-wars took place when Eomer was 28 - seven years hence from this scene.Eomer will meet Firefoot soon.

You must have missed the ages Eomer is 21- Lothy is 13.

I was hoping you might guess who Seron is. The next chapter should clinch it if you haven't. Thanks for reading and reviewing. LBJ
