I have been waiting for this chapter anxiously. It's a great pleasure to be reading this story, and I shall certainly continue to do so.

Fun chapter; I am happy you finally got it to cooperate. I like the fun details you added: 'The Thinker,' Legolas warning Rambar about his horse, etc. Yay for bringing back the warrior braids! And Coll is going to be trouble, isn't he?

Loved it! And was SO excited to see another chapter. I just love your attention to detail and talent in making it so rich and layered. Can't wait for the next installment!!!

Yay, Legolas braided his hair! :o) I'm so happy to see him finding another piece of himself back, and I love how proud and able he looks when they set out! And now I'm so curious what is going to happen in that cave!

Great chapter! Ramhar and his un-ensorcered behaviour is very believable and felt very real, but it must have been very difficult for them all to finally deal with him. Having Legolas in the small company is understandably a difficult thing, and I really liked how you dealt with the issue. The part with the owl flight and only Legolas noticing it was great. :o)

Good for you Legolas!! Blind or not, still a force to be reckoned with. As always excellent writing. The building tension is driving me crazy. lol

I can't say how happy and thrilled I were when I saw you were continuing your story! ♥ I read the new chapter (49) right away, really loved it, and then got sucked into fest writing and obviously forgot to review, as I can't find it here or on FFnet. So I hope you'll forgive me if I keep it at that and continue here with the next chapter, which I equally loved. How nice Arath is getting more screen time - he is a great character, and it's a comfort to know it was he who had watched over the two friends, and helped them in so many ways. Aragorn's observation about Ramhar are very interesting, and I'm looking forward to how that part of the story unfolds. But my heart goes out to Legolas, who now has even more that weighs on his mind, and that strange injury to deal with. You're describing what goes aroun in his mind, and what he feels, so clearly and palpably it's very easy to get into his skin, and experience what he must feel and think here.

But when it came out, it did a wonderful job of it. I keep hoping Legolas will regain his sight. When the final chapter is written, I plan to start reading again from the beginning. Until next time, thanks for a great chapter.

I've been waiting a long time for you to continue this story. I love that it is an entirely unique and original work. I can't even tell you how excited and happy I am that you are finally coming back to work on this piece! Hopefully the next chapter won't be so long in the coming!

I understand and empathize with long delays in postings. Some chapters nearly write themselves, while others have to be drawn out slowly, painfully, word by word. This one was worth waiting for. Three of my favorite parts: A pale light had dawned, growing steadily in the eastern sky as Aragorn wound strips of cloth through his horse's harness to mute the jingle. It was a morning of frost; the dried grasses glittered as the slow rays of the sun settled upon them. A blackbird winged swiftly overhead, its calling voice thin on the winter air. Masterful description. Pulls me right into the scene. I feel almost that I am there. The description of Legolas and Firestar... wonderful! This: "Indeed. And I have had other names for you too." "I'm sure of it," the ranger said, eyeing his friend thoughtfully. (made me chuckle. The sound of friendship) Oh, a fourth favorite part: Legolas' observation about the wolves! Tightly written, sets the scene, ratchets up the tension. Looking forward to more. I was glad to read this update.
