Heirs of Gondor  by Aelaer 31 Review(s)

Another great chapter. I, personally, am glad you stayed with the book rendition of Anduril.... It is truly a momentous moment, and I was really very grateful that Aragorn decided to share it with Boromir.... *heavy sigh*

Author Reply: While the movie rendition was dramatic, I always preferred the book version. It just feels right that Anduril goes at the same as the Ring.

I also learned from some internet site that it takes about a month to forge a sword with the classic methods (I don't know how valid it is, but that's the only source I could find). Frankly put, the War would have been over by the time Anduril was ready in the films :P

Oh my goodness! I can hardly begin to think this chapter is so heavily laden with insight and thought and.... Just wow! My goodness, you have really outdone yourself.... I can't even tell you what captures my heart with this one... perhaps it is the weariness of Aragorn and yet him taking time to speak with Boromir... or perhaps Boromir's candidness... or perhaps the growing 'respect?' that each might be feeling for the other. Great chapter!!!

You continue to bring us Boromir's point of view very beautifully.

Author Reply: Thank you kindly! Your approval always makes me happy ^^

Ah! Anduril rising from the shards of Narsil; and fealty is now definitely growing between them!

Author Reply: Indeed :D Thank you for your kind reviews, and constant support.

Ah--how wonderful to see the acceptance beginning in Boromir, even if it might be construed as superficial.

What a revealing conversation! Boromir clearly does not doubt Aragorn's lineage, whether he yet accepts him as a possible king or not.

I see Elendil the Tall in all of his glory, with both power and peace lying in his features.

That's a marvelous description. I'm really enjoying how this story is unfolding.

Oh thats a great story. I am actually a Hobbit reader, but this one got my interesst. I think you write Boromir and Aragorn very much in character, can imagine very well that they have those thoughts and these conversation. Looking forward to more.

I really like this chapter... especially the references to Faramir. Personally, I see Boromir as being a great politician - he must have been as heir to the Chair - however, I do believe he would have been fairly forthright. Nice job.

Nice chapter. My favorite line was - the peacefulness of Imladris has dimmed even his wary senses. Gives me thought that Aragorn immediately recognizes a warrior when he sees one.
