Very nice - I love owls. Although I am not so sure I would like them nesting above my bed.LBJ Author Reply: Having them nesting overhead could get decidedly messy, I'd think. But it was fun to write this! Heh!

the comfort of loving companionship with one fully worthy of your affections, and who finds in you the same That is bliss, indeed! Even more so when we remember the situation in which those two found each other, when the world nearly came to an end. Author Reply: That is so true, Andrea--they each accepted only at the moment when all might indeed be lost that they loved one another; now it is time to rejoice in that love!

What a great moment between Aragorn and Faramir! I can just see this happening! Sighs happily.......and I know that their bond only grew stronger through the years! Will we see a similar scene between Arwen and Eowyn? I love your vignettes! :) Author Reply: I'm so glad it hits the right spot with you, Teresa, and I agree about the bond of mutual trust and friendship that will grow between them. Don't know if there will be a similar scene between Arwen and Eowyn--we'll have to see what the future brings, I suppose.

The friendship of Gimli and Legolas is marvellous to see! This reminds me of how Gimli made Frodo and Sam's circlets; just knowing what the right materials were for them! I'm sure that Legolas's circlet was a dream! After all, Gimli is one of the greatest craftman/artists in Middle Earth! Thank you for this, and for all of your other wonderful tales! :) Author Reply: I agree--a marvelous friendship indeed. And I would love to see Legolas wearing his circlet! But then I'd love to see Frodo and Sam wearing theirs as well, not to mention Aragorn wearing the Star of Elendil!

The perfect gift - to honour Legolas' new position and still to distinguish him from his father. P.S.: "Craftsdwarf" is the perfect description for Gimli! Author Reply: All Dwarves are expected to be great smiths, each in his own way. I'm so glad that Gimli rejoices to exercise his skill for his beloved friend.

Very nice! I can definitely see Gimli conceiving and working on the circlet. And it would be perfect for Legolas! Author Reply: Yes, indeed, the idea of Gimli considering how to create the perfect gift for his friend is so very right! Thanks so, Raksha!

I figured it must be an owl. Who else would fly in and out of a window at night. At least the boys learned how to be vigilant. Author Reply: I thought that Eldarion and Elboron needed a reason to learn just that skill, and how better than by seeking the answer to this small mystery? Even though the answer was there, staring them in the face the whole time! Heh! Thanks for the feedback, Tari.
