Sorry for late reply here - Nice to see Glorfindel's return. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It was wonderful to imagine his arrival in Imladris in this manner. Thanks so.

Hopefully the two rascals learned a lesson from their adventure. They were very lucky the eagles found them and sent help.

Author Reply: I doubt they will ever give over their adventurous natures. And I suspect that the Eagles were grinning in their own way.

Sometimes the young fledgling must be allowed to try his wings that he know better what he can and cannot do for himself.

Wonderful story! I enjoyed reading it.

And I congratulate Glorfindel on his new job that he will have for a very, very long time ;-)

Author Reply: Oh, and he will indeed have many years to serve the progeny of Earendil. Thanks so! So glad it pleases.

Author Reply: And thanks to you, too, UTfrog!

Brilliant reading as usual Larner. Do I detect a different 'tone' or style in this piece - more formal perhaps? Or is it because you are writing Elves rather than Hobbits? Whatever - it works well.
But you have definitely left me panting for more - both of the immediate scene and, most of all, of Glorfindel's arrival and further story in Imladris.
Fiondil made Glorfindel one of my favourite characters and I find I mourn his loss every January so thank you for posting a glimpse of Glorfindel this Month.

Author Reply: I think it's solely because I wrote of Elves this time. I may go into Glorfindel's adventures in Middle Earth in his second incarnation, but NOT now! And I know how much I, too, miss Fiondil's additions to our world.

Thanks so, Liz, and love to the dog!

Now it is my turn to stand by you.

That was beautiful! Thank you very much.

Happy Easter! Christ is risen! He is truly risen!

Of course I love this, Frodo waiting for Sam to be ready.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: He has risen indeed! Alleluia!

Yes, I do believe that Frodo would have wanted for Sam not to feel alone as they both went through their final stages of healing and found themselves anticipating what was to come! And thank you so, Antane!

, I did not wish for you to find yourself alone here, the only mortal amongst the immortals.

Truly, that must be a very strange life. This is a loving and love-filled little scene.

Author Reply: I agree--it must have been difficult at times for Frodo; but the beauty and peace with which he was surrounded he so needed for his own healing. And it must have been wonderful to feel he was now giving back so much for what Sam had given up for him.

This is beautiful.

Author Reply: Thank you so, Linda!

Beautiful short story. I can almost imagine a cute rosy cheeked plumpy elfling with her wide starry eyes describing the periannath to her amme... adorably cute!

Author Reply: Thank you so, Aranadhel, and forgive me for being so late in responding--I cannot say how this managed to slip by me as it did!
