Shadows of Memory  by Linda Hoyland 30 Review(s)

Ack! Losing 44 years of memories is frightening...especially with no one nearby that Aragorn knows who can tell him that he really IS the king, etc. How is he going to get his memory back? Might be interesting to see what happens if that never occurs...he can court Arwen again. :)

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Yes, I'm certain that Aragorn must find the situation very frightening indeed. All will soon be revealed.

I thought it might be something like this - I asumed Aragorn was not seeing things as they really were.

Some parts of this chapter are absolutely hillarious! I just couldn't stop laughing. So well done!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased that you are enjoying the story.

I most certainly wouldn't want to be in Aragorn's place. He must feel totally confused and sad. I'm so glad you're rewriting this story.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I wouldn't like to be in Aragorn's shoes either. he must feel trapped in a nightmare.

Oh poor Aragorn - it must be horrible to feel so totally lost, and to experience the loss of loved ones all over again, like that.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I feel sorry for poor Aragorn too,it must be a truly horrible experience to have.

My head is spinning just as much as Aragorn's! Clearly, he's now the king, but has lost all memory of the time between being Thorongil and the present. And just who is Denathor? Faramir? But why would Faramir call him Ada? Is it Eldarion? I'm sooooooooo confused!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased I am keeping you guessing! There is a clue in the final paragrapghs of "A Time to Reap" also on this site!

It must have been a most trying situation for both Aragorn and Faramir, and you've done a good job of showing how tense they both were.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I don't eny either of them at all!

Poor Aragorn! He is so certain he's back about fifty years ago! And he thinks the lady by him is Finduilas? Poor guy! I hope Arwen can begin getting through to him.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I feel sorry for Aragorn too!

Hi Linda, another great chapter. Poor Aragorn, but I feel more sorry for Faramir at the moment. I hope Arwen is able to take her husband back to reality. I like this story very much. I´m curious what happened to Aragorn to cause such a injury. Thanks for a wonderful read. Lai

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I;m pleased you are enjoying this. All will be revealed as to how Aragorn came to be in this situation!

Things get curiouser and curiouser. I feel sorry for Thorongil here. Everything is confusing; Denethor is not as he remembered him.

A good chapter and interesting mystery.

Poor Thorongil is definitely years behind the times at the moment! Faramir has no idea what's going on in his liege's head right now! I hope Arwen appears to help her husband come back to the present rather than dwelling in the past.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Arwen will indeed play a part in the future.Throrongil is maybe "too" good at concealing what he thinks!
