The descriptions in the begining - the first few sentences - are something extraordinary!

Author Reply: Thank you very much! I'm glad they worked!

Very suspenseful and unnerving !

"The short moment of avoiding a falling blade lasted a lifetime in a wink of eye."---WOW

Author Reply: Hello! Many thanks for the review!

Poor Aragorn,it goes from bad to worse! A chapter full of suspence.

Author Reply: When the prompt is "consequences of something", there is a big probability that the conseqences will be unpleasant for Aragorn...

Oh, I like this! It's so cool to make a continuing story, incorporating each day's prompts. And yet, I know that's hard to do, since until you get the prompt for the day, you can't plan ahead! (Been There, Done That!)

This seems like a very exciting adventure for Thorongil! I look forward to seeing how it continues.

Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, it is an exciting adventure not only for Thorongil but also to me, wondering what the next prompt will be. I just hope there won't be any prompt with "consequences" soon, because it seem consequences always mean trouble here...

Oops. *gulp* Not good.

Btw, this is very brave of you to stop in a moment like this, and not knowing what tomorrow's prompt will be. *bows*

Yesterday he left the tavern to be alone, and now – he felt like the only living soul in the city, and it was unnerving.

Excellent detail. ;)

Author Reply: Lol, we will see tomorrow if it was brave or stupid. But principially, I know what should approximately happen, the prompts just tell how it happens.

Wow....your words are like strokes of a paintbrush. Such wonderful and vivid imagery swirling in my mind. I cannot wait for the next post. THESE...ARE...BEAUTIFUL!

And I love your Aragorn/Thorongil.

Author Reply: Thank you very much for the nice words!

I'm enjoying this very much. You create a powerful atmosphere.

Author Reply: Thank you very much! I hope I will manage to keep the story consistent through the next challenges =)

I always love your portrayal of Aragorn (or Thorongil as he is here). It does seem very like him to weight the death of the girl against his own conscience and his own failures. And it's also very like him, fortunately, that he finds hope even in the pitiless desert, and with that hope the strength to face the next challenge. I'm both looking forward to and dreading his arrival in that tavern!

Author Reply: Ah yes, this one was like written for Aragorn - "write a story or poem or create artwork where the character conquers his or her fears." He does it so many times in his life that it's a part of his personality. And always he finds the strength to stand up and face the next challenge. Btw, if you want to follow the prompts, they can be found here: http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/b2mem2011.php The next one will decide what happens in the tavern, or if he even gets there in that chapter =)

That's so what Thorongil would do, take the time to bury her, out of respect for the life she *didn't* take from him, at cost of her own. I do hope he tracks down who killed her, before they kill him! Love the evocative phrases you use... the entire thing has a wistfulness and a beauty to it, yet overarching it all is a hovering darkness and menace. I'm very much enjoying this, can you tell??

Author Reply: Thank you again! I'm enjoying it too, and I'm curious what tomorrow will bring =) (As I finally got up to date with this chapter...)

What can I say? Another beautiful chapter! I so love your description of the moment of dawn...

Author Reply: Thank you again! (Or did I say that already?) I've never seen dawn in a desert, but I tried to imagine it =)
