Poetic Arda  by Mirach 69 Review(s)

How utterly fitting! Yes, worthy of the Master himself!

Was listening to the Dwarves singing "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" and shivering at how Shore managed to adapt Tolkien's own poetry and sound so utterly Dwarvish! Am shivering in anticipation!

How wonderful. I especially love the final lines.

Three? I'd heard but two, with the first being released December 14th and the second next year in December! But after today watching the video blogs regarding the making of the films I must say I am eager to see them! And it's lovely to see Orlando Bloom back in Legolas's makeup and costumes, as well as both Ian Holme and Elijah Woods having at least cameo appearances. And the gown they had Cate Blanchett in as Galadriel was wonderful! And Howard Shore is doing the music again! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! (I fall at Shore's feet and cover them with kisses of adoration!)

Author Reply: Yes, it's offficially three now! The third should be in July 2013.

Alas for Maedhros, as in the end he gives himself to the flames to end it all!

Author Reply: Just like his father, he ends in flames...

Beautiful images here, and so proper for our young Hope.

Such a bittersweet lullaby. This is absolutely beautiful.

There, names are not secret
that can bring a danger
And father to child
doesn't have to be stranger

Oh, but considering the focus of my latest story I DO love this and find it very timely!

Ah, but the gift of foresight was within the family, and was not always comforting. But Halbarad knew that even his death should in the end prove a purpose....

Author Reply: Yes, that gift can be quite disturbing sometimes...

Behind that door no turning back,
And yet I'll cross this line

What a noble and courageous man, who accompanied his Chieftain and king on the darkest road of all out of duty... and love.

Author Reply: It is really a pity he died in that battle.

That's just lovely! It's touching without getting overly sentimental. I love the line "But I follow, for you must go, And faith is a strong bond". That really sums up Halbarad perfectly!

Author Reply: Thank you very much!
