A most interesting beginning to the visit. Now--to see the manner in which Pippin returns to fighting abilities!

Author Reply: Thanks for the review. You may have just saved me from myself. :) I had thought to do something drastic in the next few chapters but your comment about Pippin's fighting skills has caused me to rethink things and go a different direction. Thanks.

"Now that the formality is out of the way"... Dear Aragorn. :)

What a joy that you're able to resume writing again. I hope my Muse is inspired by yours!

Author Reply: Thank you so much Shireboound. I'm so glad to be back. My muse keeps throwing ideas at me but not wanting to give me a whole lot of details. Now he's asking me to have the plot bunny take a left turn and head down a really dark path for a bit and I'm not a fan of the dark so we'll se what happens.

Here's hoping your muse gets inspired. It's Spring, Maybe the ideas will grow like the flowers.

Looking forward to the continuation of the tale.

Know too well the horrors of thieves and burglars. God bless and protect you and your family from such predators.

Author Reply: I really think that if I can figure out where I was going with chapter 18, then the rest will come easier.

The neighborhood I lived in at the time of the break-in has continued to decline. I move in with my then fiancé/now husband six months after the incident and I felt a lot safer. His place just wasn't conducive to me being able to do projects that interested me.

16 months ago we moved to a bigger house in what is actually the small town of Speedway which sit totally surrounded by Indianapolis and it's been that best thing to happen to me in the last several years, other than getting married.

I'm totally content and that's good for everything. :)

Thanks for reviewing as you've been rereading.

Back! Can be a bear. Glad the King properly prepared the healer

Author Reply: I think Aragorn was very much aware of the long term effects of what had happed could be for all the hobbits and he would want to help where possible.

Welcome back!

Author Reply: Thanks. Hopefully I can get back to working on this story soon. I am working on one that I actually tried to start around New Year 2017 but just didn't have time to devote to it. This is the first time in years that I feel like I'm in a place where I can actually think about writing again. Working from home has certainly helped there. No more 10-16 hours days including waiting on paratransit and then some of the scenic tours of the city we went on. Also, with a bigger house, I now have a space that is all mine. Yes it's my work office too but my personal computer is only about six feet from my work computer. My job isn't as stressful as it used to be and my husband and I are secure enough in our relationship that we don't have to be joined at the hip every minute so I can actually come down here and write while he does something else on the main floor. Life's good and that's good for writing. :)

9h, dear. It appears his liege lord wishes to see for himself how well the Thain and his Lady are doing.

Author Reply: He was definitely worried about them too.

Ah, to know that abandon! Miss my spouse about now. At jest the lads got to enjoy the party.

Author Reply: Yes, that night was good for everybody.

Have been rereading the whole story as I first read them in late 2014, and so much of it I'd forgotten. Love the presence of the Hobbit lawyers. How important such would have been to the so conservative Shire-folk with their love of red ink and seven witnesses for each legal document.

Author Reply: Somebody had to keep track of all that red ink and witnesses. It's a good think that they're such a peaceful people. If they'd have had to deal with criminal law as well as all the wills, deeds, contracts and marriage certificates, they have drown in red ink. :D
