I am still loving it and can't wait to find out more about Raini.

I am captivated by this story and glad I found it. I have been a bit lost since Fiondil's passing and the fact that no one seems to be posting new stories.

Author Reply: So happy you are enjoying the tale!!

I came across this story as I fumbled thru SOA looking for something to read. No one is posting much anymore and we have lost Fiondil. I always look forward to new chapters being posted. This story has grasped my interest and I will probably read more of your writings.

Author Reply: Thank you! Sorry I have not tried sooner. I have been offline a few weeks. But I'm glad you are enjoying the story! :)

Ah, but a lighthearted Legolas who is late for such a meeting is not what Aragorn wished for that day, I suspect. Although he and the Queen have some pleasure and joy of their own to share, it appears.

So glad all turned out so well.

(And had to giggle about the "coming attractions" notice! Heh!

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading!

To realize that discontent with Middle Earth when the West calls him does not stop him knowing joy is a great gift indeed, and it took two determined ladies to get that fact through to him! Heh! About bloody time that got through his thick head--you'd think he was a Dwarf for his stubbornness on the subject!

Author Reply: It was indeed time he figured it out with some good help. :) Thanks for reading!

A very fitting ending, with Legolas back to himself again. I do hope Arwen is right about Caeri and Legolas, she seems to be a good match for him!

Author Reply: Thank you! I have always trusted Arwen to be a pretty good judge of such matters. :)

Thanks for reading.

I see that Legolas is a sneaky son of a beech, managing to get out of a long and boring meeting with the help of his horses. And also managing to catch Aragorn sufficiently unaware to be able to give him a nice dousing.

(Sorry about the pun - it sneaked up on me and i WAS NOT ABLE to resist it!) ;-)

Author Reply: LOL! That's a great pun! :)

Thanks so much for reading. :)

Oe would thenk that an Elf, who count time in yeni rather tha coranari would tolerate pausing his journey to the sea for a century or so.
But then, there is that other thing he is waiting for, which determines how long the pause in the journey is going to be. He is waiting for his friend to do that most unnatural (to Elves) thing: to die.
And not in the Elvish "spend a few yeni as a guest of Námo before you are reembodied" way either, but in the Mannish "not coming back" way. I suppose that is always in Legolas' subconscious, and is what really complicates his bouts of sea-longing.
At least his friends have been able to get through to him now!

Author Reply: Ah, but Legolas has spent much time among mortals! I think such influence could affect the way an elf experiences the passing of time, especially one with such close friendships and an understanding of just how quickly his time with them will pass.

There is also the issue that in my 'verse', the sea longing is a more active internal struggle. Once awakened, it is difficult to ignore. It is not just a pausing of the journey, but a daily endurance of it calling to him. That would also slow the passing of time for an elf.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! :)

OMG!! you did not just leave it like that!! Excellent, excellent chapter. Good for Aragorn and Gimili, I would not let a love one fade without a fight either.
great writing Nieriel, you really expressed the tension.

Now I wonder what Aragorn has up his sleeve.

post soon

Author Reply: Sorry! It was a great place to leave it though! :) glad you are enjoying the story! I just posted the new chapter.

Thanks for reading!

I was thinking precisely the same as Gimli! Maybe Lancaeriel will be able to get through his denial.

Author Reply: I'm certain someone will get through to him. ;)

Thanks for reading!
