It's interesting to imagine Celebrķan's life in the West, and how she may have been of service to others.

Author Reply: She has come a long way since "Elvenhome", that is true.

I must say that he has indeed known a bad time of it! Poor Elf!

Author Reply: One day, if I live long enough, I'm going to write his story. The Elf had a life like an action movie, after all.

This was a bitter reunion. I feel for Celebrian, but Elrond's sorrow is also palpable in this short piece.

Yeah, how can Elrond arrive before Celebrian and tell her all her children preferred to stay in Arda? I can see him dreading this encounter as much as he must rejoice at seeing his wife again.

What a lovely story. I like the idea that Celebrian speaks up for Maglor. He couldn't be all bad. Celebrian is right that he did a great job with Elrond and Elros.

And I so suspect that it will be forgiving himself that will prove the hardest. He has reason to regret what is done, but he will see he has reason also to look to the future for what he can give to and receive from it.

Author Reply: Let's hope so. Perhaps the time in Mandos has set his head right.

Indeed a loss to Aman. Although Atar will not forget these three in His own song.

Author Reply: And, as we know, they will have an important task among the Moriquendi.

What a grief for them to have known! And they have lost one of their Lord's sons as well. I am glad that he realizes his sister, at least, will remain safe no matter what.
