Ha ha! Ah, this really cracked me up. A great little drabble to start my day.

Ha ha! Ah, this really cracked me up. A great little drabble to start my day.
Fire · 25 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
Now that's a sweet sight, Arwen being coached to walk bij her two big brothers.
demeter d · 25 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
So nice to think that Elrond had a store of these kinds of warm memories to draw on during the many dark moments in their lives. Beautiful little gem of oa picture!
harrowcat · 25 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
Jay this is a lovely picture. I can't imagine the twins being anything other than gentle with their new sister.
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
Such a sweet and joyful picture!
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 19: Aftermath
Ah, yes. I remember the first time I read that Greenwood also bore up against a terrible assault.
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 23: The Gift Horse
Awww, lovely imagery!
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 13: Battle of Five Armies
p.s. You really ought to write a companion drabble (if you haven't already) with the same last line, or perhaps the "Eagles" cry at the start, a sort of mirror.
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 13: Battle of Five Armies
Marvellous. Difficult to believe that these are all drabbles, considering their flow and the scintillating pictures drawn by the words.
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 59: On The Slopes Of Orodruin
*sigh* If only... But then, so much would not have happened. And where would we be?
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 30: Hannon Le
"...and no doubt, far safer" Perfect ending.
Lindelea · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 49: Glorfindel's Revenge
hah! This was (almost) glorious! (I say *almost* because dh and I almost walked out of FOTR at that point... we couldn't see anything good coming of such toying with the Original. Took me months to forgive PJ, and as it was, I watched TTT with something akin to weary resignation, only chortling a bit when Sam said (in Osgiliath) with such desperation, "We're not even supposed to BE here!" Too true.
lwarren · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
When babies take that first look-at-me, lurching step it is something to stop everything for and just sit down and have fun. Catch the imp and aim him or her back at someone else! LOL I see the Elladan and Elrohir also aspire to the belief that "practice makes perfect" and will make sure that their little sister gets to work on her walking as much as possible! I love the idea of Elrond getting to enjoy this little interlude with his children. A moment of joy, as it were... Lovely, Jay! Linda
Ellie · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
This is sooo cute! I can imagine how wonderful Elrond's heart must have felt at this sight.
daw the minstrel · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 70: Three's Company
Oh geez. I remember that moment when my son walked. His eyes got big and he was just so gleeful. We have pictures of it. Someone I read described it as "a drunken dance of delight."
elliska · 22 July 2006 · Chapter 69: Twice Blessed
Catching up--yes, I completely see this. I think Elrond would certainly have had a moment when he realized they were having twins and his thoughts would suddenly and painfully turn to his lost brother. And he would worry for his sons. Poor thing.
Bodkin · 19 July 2006 · Chapter 69: Twice Blessed
I think it was probably deliberate on Lady Yavanna's part. Elrond needed twins to remind him of the joys of his relationship with Elros and to rub away some of the sore edges.
Author's reply
That's an interesting idea. Twins of his own would certainly make Elrond think again about his brother, and appreciate the good times. I like that.
demeter d · 19 July 2006 · Chapter 69: Twice Blessed
"a pang of remembered sorrow".... a nice phrase for what must indeed have followed him always. A beautiful little moment.
Author's reply
I think he must have remembered Elros at times, even if it wasn't always. A moment like this must have been strange.
Ellie · 18 July 2006 · Chapter 69: Twice Blessed
That "pang of rememebred sorrow" seems to haunt Elrond his whole life, deosn't it? Nicely done.
Author's reply
I don't think it would be something he thought of all the time, but at certain moments - especially a time like this! - he'd be bound to think of Elros. The joy would be the stronger emotion, though.
Bodkin · 7 July 2006 · Chapter 68: One Or Two?
The brothers beautiful ... to quote Another. They go together like fish and chips; strawberries and cream; Laurel and Hardy; Morecambe and Wise. Love and marriage - a horse and carriage. You can't have one without the other...
Author's reply
Which is precisely the problem, of course. That, and being called 'The Twins'. But a twin on my flist says it's the name thing that annoys him most.
Fire · 6 July 2006 · Chapter 68: One Or Two?
Now this is a very good inside look at how twins feel sometimes. It's so good to read this, because it can be very frustrating to always be looked upon as one.
Author's reply
That sounds like the voice of experience! I just tried to imagine how it must feel.
Kitty · 5 July 2006 · Chapter 68: One Or Two?
Being an identical twin is not always easy, not matter if one is an elf or a mere mortal. I think you caught the advantages and disadvantages very well.
Author's reply
I'm sure the good times far outweigh the bad ones, but there must be some moments like this!
Kitty · 5 July 2006 · Chapter 67: Summer Solstice
Very romantic ficlet, at least at first sight! This was the night when they begot Lissuin, wasn't it? So it's a bit bittersweet, knowing the outcome.
Author's reply
Oh, well done! I wondered if anyone would catch the reference. I left the foreshadowing out because I wanted this to be a special night of magic and passion for Thranduil and Telparian, and a happy scene - but yes. *Sigh*
daw the minstrel · 5 July 2006 · Chapter 68: One Or Two?
Nice presentation of the dilemma here, Jay. The bitter with the sweet, I guess.
Author's reply
Poor Elrohir - and poor Elladan, too. He must feel the same at times - but they'd never change anything!
elliska · 4 July 2006 · Chapter 67: Summer Solstice
Very magical and very...steamy. I love to see Thranduil like this. :-)
Author's reply
He can be very romantic, can't he? He even surprises me sometimes!
