Yuck, that orc was certainly sure of himself wasn't he? Nice job with writing his POV I guess it would see rather sure to Sauron's army that they were going to win. Those were all so delightful! Thank you!

Author's reply

I had never written an Orc before so I am pleased that you think that this worked. Thank you for reading it and for reading and reviewing all of the others!

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Eleven Pipers Piping

Thought out of the box on that one didn't you? "pipers piping" I would have thought of music! I guess Legols was put on the spot! At least he didn't disgrace himself. All the little bits of advice and now from reading your other story I see how it ties in!

Author's reply

Music did come to mind but I am terrible at writing stories that have music in them. Dreamflower did a musical story recently that she had suggested to me for this part of the challenge. Hers is just wonderful but I could never have managed it. Her story is called, "Pippin's Pak of Pickled Pipers" and if you haven't already, you should read that one. It is the musical verison of this topic. http://www.storiesofarda.com/chapterlistview.asp?SID=3514

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Ten lords A'Leaping

That was so neat! The way you put in the bad "leaps" and the the leaps that led to good things! Wow, well done!

Author's reply

This one was tough. I nearly ran out of Lords and I did need ten so it took some thinking. Glad you liked it!

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Nine Ladies Dancing

I love how you had Pippin tell the story and then all the others commenting through out and Pippi always having to be reminded where he was! He had everyone in the story but Sam. Then the beginning of Merry's story and Pippin's response had me laughing before he even really began! Thanks for the laugh!

Author's reply

Glad this one made you laugh. One of these days I will have to write Merry's story.

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 8: Eight Maids A'Milking

Miss Rockheaver! Poor Freddy! You would think Merry could have just done it himself rather than involve and innocent bystander in his anticts! lol, Frodo now knowing what was goind on as well then for this "lass" to be his cousin! That was splendid! Merry trying to figure out how he can blame Pippin! Splendid!

Author's reply

Merry figured that it was safer for himself this way. I suspect he didn't plan to get caught even if Freddy did get found out. Looks like Merry didn't plan this very well. I did feel sorry for Frodo. He was going to have to convince folks that he didn't know anything about this. Thank you for reading!

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 7: Seven Swans A'Swimming

I guess Merry certainly knows Pippin! But to bet his cousin would fall in! Poor Legolas was a bit to ignorant at this point in time, I'm sure he'll learn though! “I do not wish to discuss this,” the elf said, looking definitely at Aragorn and then continuing to walk up the hill and out of sight." I guess nothing was hurt but his dignity! Thanks for the laugh!

Author's reply

Yes, Legolas had a great deal to learn about Pippin and the other hobbits at that point. I am sure this little adventure helped him to learn. LOL

Hai Took · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 6: Six Geese A'Laying

Poor Frodo! That was a rather mean trick to paly on an unsuspecting cousin! I liked the way you described each of the lasses and how they have formed this little group. At least they have plenty of company through each other and any other unsuspecting lad they might catch! What fun!

Author's reply

I almost want to write a story using these old ladies again, but I have no idea what sort of a story it would be. Frodo got the worst of this one, but I am sure that he found a way to get even later on.

Hai Took · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 5: Five Golden Rings

Oh, you have me crying! So very sweet and touching! I liked the way you wrote out Ring Four and described Frodo's relationship and feeling for each of those within his ring. I like how some of your "rings" were more concrete then others, very well done!

Author's reply

Thank you. I am very glad that it came off well. It is so different from all of the others in this group and so I did worry about it. Thank you for the lovely review!

Hai Took · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 4: Four Calling Birds

Poor Pippin, it must be frustrating for him to try and call any birds like that. Frodo is such a wonderful older cousin and did a good job of comforting and be udnerstanding! Lovely!

Author's reply

Yes, Pippin was little enough to think that the birds would just come right to him if he called them properly. Thanks for the review.

Hai Took · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 3: Three French Hens

*snort* What an interesting way to incorporate french into the story! ANd through Merry's dream as well! Very amusing! I must say!

Author's reply

Glad that this one made you laugh. It was a bit unusual, but at the time, it was all that I could come up with.

Hai Took · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 2: Two Turtle Doves

LOL! That was great! Painting turtles! I was a bit worried when it was a live thing Pippin was painting, you never know with little children! Wonderful! Frodo did an admirable job of not laughing, at least in front of Pippin!

Author's reply

A young neighbor of ours once painted a turtle's shell, but didn't give the turtle wings, he just painted it white and we washed it off because we figured that the white would attract too many enemies to the poor turtle. Fortunately it didn't seem to hurt the turtle.

Hai Took · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 1: A Partridge in a Pear Tree

Well I'm a bit late in beginning these but I have begun! The way you did the whole thing with only the dialogue was great! It made it more comical somehow. Very amusing, thank you!

Author's reply

Somehow, I seem to be better at dialogue than discription and so this was easier for me than some of my others. Glad you liked it.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 12: Twelve Drummers Drumming

The thoughts of the enemy as they prepare for war.Very good...

Author's reply

Glad you enjoyed it. My first try at writing the enemy.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Eleven Pipers Piping

Legolas smoking, thats something to see. Pippin giving him the advise to not set anything on fire makes you woder if he sis when he first learned to smoke. The description Legolas gives when smoking is very true to someone who dosen't like to..Very nice..

Author's reply

Thank you for this review. Glad you enjoyed it!

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Ten lords A'Leaping

Sometimes the leaps of faith lead us where they need to be other times not.Nice piece

Author's reply

This one took a while to come up with. Having to use eleven Lords in one story took some thinking. Glad you enjoyed it.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Nine Ladies Dancing

LOL...This one had me laughing... I love the humor in this. Pippin is a good story telling, and laying it on thick...Very good...

Author's reply

He did spin an interesting tale in this one. Thanks for reviewing it.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 8: Eight Maids A'Milking

All I can say is poor Freddy, and Frodo...

Author's reply

Yes, those two got the worest of this little adventure, didn't they?

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 7: Seven Swans A'Swimming

That was just plain mean of them...Dumping Legolas in the water...Funny ...

Author's reply

Nothing funnier than a wet elf!

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 6: Six Geese A'Laying

Poor Frodo... He got snared by Pippin and Merry just to avoid those irritating old ladies....Frodo willsurley kill them if he ever gets his hands on them....

Author's reply

Yes, they may be in for a bit of trouble once Frodo excapes the old ladies. LOL

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 5: Five Golden Rings

This one was touching. The way it was writing is different from the rest and sets it apart... Rings..In a way is like life and the choices that make us who we become. Some of those our the bonds of friendship, those of a child who hods our heart. Then those of family that even when we go onward is unbreakable. Here Frodo is going, but he looks back on the past and knows all will be well. Merry is the caretaker, and will care for them.. This is a very well written piece...Good job...

Author's reply

I don't often do serious and so I am glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you for your kind words.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 4: Four Calling Birds

Cute....Frodo to comfort an upset pippin...

Author's reply

I appreciate all of your reviews so much. Thanks!

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 3: Three French Hens

Very funny...Pippin is irritatin him to tell him of his dream...Hens throwing eggs at him..Very amuzing... Then he left a few things out, even Frodo couldn't get out of him...Love it...

Author's reply

Glad you enjoyed this one. It was a rather strange dream, wasn't it?

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 2: Two Turtle Doves

Poor Frodo and Bilbo. What a mess pippin has gotten into. Painting wings on turttles, that sounds so much like a child... I wonder who will clean them up...

Author's reply

Children do the strangest things, don't they? Thanks for reading.

pipinheart · 21 March 2005 · Chapter 1: A Partridge in a Pear Tree

Very amuzing..Poor merry stuck in a tree with pippin and him wanting to kill him... Pippin's idea went to funny to not such good luck, and in the end even try's to blame merry for it. Very entertaining...

Author's reply

Thank you! It was hard to come up with something for this.

PIppinfan1988 · 31 January 2005 · Chapter 6: Six Geese A'Laying

LOL...those little sneaks! Sucks to be Frodo right about now! I have to do one more before I log off–these are great! I was working a lot of O.T. the past couple weeks...now I’m catching up on my reading. I’ll definitely be back! Pippinfan
