Oh dear! Oh my! Oh my aching ribs! And wait till Elrond and Aragorn find out that *ARWEN* was in on it!!! Oh golly! *wipes tears of laughter* Oh gosh!

Author's reply

Aragorn will be something close to horrified. I'm not sure he realizes what Arwen is capable of. Poor man, he's in for a shock. I'm glad you're enjoying this!

Bodkin · 4 July 2005 · Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: Explosion

Poor Legolas. Now it is not only Arwen fighting with with the gloves off. Can Imladris stand the strain?

Author's reply

Legolas will get his own back. He realizes who planned this, and he's going to get her back big time. Imladris will never be the same.

harrowcat · 4 July 2005 · Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: Explosion

*still chuckling* Good luck with the move but please make sure that the first thing to go in is the internet connection! Selfish of us or what! Arwen + hobbits = explosive mixture. And Legolas gets caught HAH! And Gandalf as the silent partner in crime - no one could borrow his fireworks without his knowledge surely? But is he being impartial? Gandalf is right, the dangerous stuff will come all too soon but isn't this dangerous prank war a good preparation!

Author's reply

Sadly, I've been without internet for a week. I have it back now, though, so a chapter will be up as soon as I have time to sit down and write! Actually, I'm fairly certain that the hobbits did steal the fireworks, but what wizard can't be amused with the fact that they were used to blow up a privy over the Elven Prince of Mirkwood? And yes, the hobbits and Arwen are definitely a dangerous mix. Poor Rivendell.

Tigger · 4 July 2005 · Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: Explosion

Oh, that's dirty. And in so many ways too...Bawahahahahahahaha!!! Oh my...The image that produced. Legolas...Covered in...in...You *know*. *snicker* Good luck w/the move!!

Author's reply

Legolas is going to be one peeved elf prince, I tell you that! Revenge is coming! Mwahahaha! Thanks! The move went well, and I'm almost able to sit down and write again! Yay!

Elentariel · 4 July 2005 · Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: Explosion

They did WHAT!!!!LOL LOL LOL LOL Oh Poor Legolas! That isn't exactly what you expect when you go into the privy, is it?!? I still can't stop laughing. Please update soon!

Author's reply

It was definitely the last thing anyone expected. And I suspect that Legolas will be thoroughly traumatised for a short time. Poor guy. I'll hopefully be able to update this week! I'm really hoping I can!

barb:) · 29 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

I am loving this! I can't wait to see what happens next. Arwen should definitely take sides :D

Bodkin · 29 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

The Evenstar will have her revenge. I like the monster - the candles are a particularly clever touch. However, I suspect Arwen will remember that trick and its perpetrators - and be only too willing to assist in bringing them to their knees. The war is escalating - as is the way of wars. Elrond may have to bring in the UN peace-keeping force to hold the two sides apart.

Auntiemeesh · 28 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

“I need a drink,” he said. Lol! What Rivendell needs is a conflict resolution mediator. Have a nice little meeting where everyone sits down and discusses their feelings and what they're thinking. Then Elrond can give them all a good dressing down and send them to their rooms for a week, until they've learned to play nicely. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing what the hobbits cook up next. :D

Andrea · 28 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

"Lads, you have my full permission to make Aragorn sorry for that.” There it is! Oh, I've waited for this statement! Now, everything is allowed! But Aragorn should be very careful now, as well as Legolas and the twins! The Lady Arwen should not be underestimated! And I wonder what might happen, if Gandalf accidently stepped into a trap laid out for others ;-) This story is getting better and better! I really enjoy it :)

Author's reply

I imagine that the makers of the trap would find themselves in the shape of newts, or somthing, were Gandalf to get caught by accident. That could be funny. Arwen is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Poor boys. ^_^

I am thoroughly enjoying this fiction, it's cheered up my stressful day - thanks! Blossom

Author's reply

I'm glad it made you happy! Thanks for reading!

Dreamflower · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

ROTFL! OOoooh! < sing-songy voice > Aragorn's in trou-ouble--Frodo's gonna ge-et him!< /sing-songy voice > *giggle* The battle lines are being drawn: the hobbits and Arwen on one side, Aragorn, his brothers and Legolas on the other--who else is going to get dragged in next? How long will Elrond put up with it? How long will *Gandalf* put up with it? As for me--I'll put up with it as long as you want to keep it going. *grin*

Author's reply

Aragorn is definitely in trouble. I can't imagine how long Elrond and Gandalf will put up with it, but I can't imagine they're very happy with the situation. You, this was originally supposed to be four chapters long. NOw I'm just following it blindly. :)

Shieldmaiden of Rohan · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Yeah! Have Arwen side with the hobbits! I'd love to see her prank her sweetie!! :D Glad to see the twins in on it though. They seem like they'd be fun to have in this.

Author's reply

Arwen will likely side with the hobbits. I really wouldn't put it past her. The twins are going to be fun to write. I like them already. :P

Robinscat · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Ahh! I am snickering. That was good. And thank you for putting in my idea of the bucket of water over the door. I am honored. And my husband got a good laugh.

Author's reply

Oh, it was you who suggested it! I was writing that scene and trying to remember who had suggested it. Thank you, it worked quite well! And you're welcome. :)

Tigger · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Oh...That was *evil*!!! Funny, but evil. And now Frodo knows. And he's given Pip and Merry permission for the war to continue. *And* the Evenstar's been the recipient of an intended hobbit practical joke. That is so not good. For Aragorn that is. :oD Can't wait to read more in this wicked, wicked tale. :o)

Author's reply

Evil can be so funny. This is why we're lucky that Sauron is bad!evil! and not funny!evil! Because had he been the former, ME would have become "Moulin Rouge". Lol! More coming soon!

Breon Briarwood · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

BWAHAhahahahah! I wonder how long it will take to get Frodo & Sam in on the pranks? (somehow, I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'secret Ranger Trail' was a prank to begin with...)

Author's reply

"(somehow, I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'secret Ranger Trail' was a prank to begin with...)" Now THAT is an idea! Wouldn't that be just awful? Hilarious as all get out, but awful. Ahahaha! *rubs hands together, giggling*

Larner · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

What with the "monster" and Arwen's own ire raised, it appears all of them are likely to find themselves fully involved. We already have so many more involved in the schemes, and I can only see it getting worse--particularly as Frodo himself now has an emotional investment in the matter. When the reason why Aragorn didn't take the other path is made clear, I suspect all will feel foolish. Lovely writing, and

Author's reply

This type of venture can only pull people in. The results will be hilarious. And yes, I can see everyone being quite folish about the whole thing. :) Thanks!

TithenFeredir · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Ooooo, dripping, glaring Arwen! I think maybe she is the monster of your title rather than the fake one that Aragorn et. al. put together! I shudder to think what sort of revenge she might come up with. Maybe Frodo will eventually join in now that he knows about the "secret Ranger path". Things are getting out of hand. *rubs hands together* I like it. ~TF

Author's reply

The title was a double edged sword of sorts, I suppose. Because you're right, the monster could totally be Arwen. Hmmm... :)

cher · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

This series started out cute and is getting better with every chapter. I hope you don't ever get mad at me!! I loved the monster--even better than the snake in the bath--and I am still laughing about the strawberry bubble bath(Sam will kill him if he tries anything!) Keep up the excellent work.

Author's reply

I actually don't pull pranks when I'm mad, although I may have to start doing so. I just hope that my siblings *never* read this fic! Isn't it great how certain things like strawberry bubble bath have managed to become a major part of this fandom? I love it! Thank you!

shirebound · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Priceless! And now Arwen and Gandalf are involved, as well. :D

Author's reply

Arwen, at least, is. I rather imagine Gandalf will be the one trying to keep Elrond sane. :)

harrowcat · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

Oh Oh! the prank war widens. Be afraid, Aragorn and even the Twins. Be very afraid! Arwen will truly be on the warpath and she has eons more experience than a mere mortal. Will she side with the hobbits or are we going to see a threeway war going on. Oh and trust Pippin - that was far too easy for Boromir to find out why this is happening! How is Aragorn going to react to the news and the ante is definately upped now Frodo is getting involved! Do, do keep going!

Author's reply

I am definitely going to keep writing this! I am having way too much fun to stop now. :) Arwen will be getting into the war, and everyone will be afraid when she does. In my mind, she is just as bad as the twins. Lol!

Farawyn · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven-The Monster

"We haven't played that trick since Arwen was an elfling." Hilarious! Aboslutely hilarious. I was laughing so hard ......!!!!! You wouldn't believe it. Tears were running down my face. This was GREAT! Please, ALWAYS take your time writing the next chapter; it pays of very well. Don't rush yourself, then it won't be as good. But, all the same, I'm going to ask you do what I just told you not to; please update soon!!!!!! Farawyn Still laughing......

Author's reply

You know what's funny with this story? I sit down having absolutely no idea what I'm going to write next, and an hour later I've got the next chapter ready. I'm still amazed that the monster idea actually worked. :) I'll defintely be updating in the next day or two. This is fun!

Faith · 27 June 2005 · Chapter 6: Chapter Six-Allies

Author's reply

Ah! That makes sense. I really need to see that film.

Elentariel · 26 June 2005 · Chapter 6: Chapter Six-Allies

The string was really funny! I'm loving the story - update soon please!!!

Author's reply

I'm working on the next chapter right now! I'm glad you like this!

Auntiemeesh · 26 June 2005 · Chapter 6: Chapter Six-Allies

This is a lot of fun, I'm really enjoying each new prank that the hobbits and Aragorn pull on each other. :D

Author's reply

thanks! I'm enjoying myself greatly, writing this. :)
