Ominous music has just been turned up full blast! Now where is that silly dragon?!?
Author's reply
The music is rather loud, isn't it? All I can say, at this point, is that Treco will return. I'll give you a little tidbit: He won't be involved in the exact way that most people think he will.

I hear ominous music in the brackgroud when this building comes into view. But I am missing our friendly(!) dragon!
Author's reply
I think you might be hearing the same music I am. Don't worry, you won't be missing Treco for very long. :o)

Beautiful descriptions, and love the tree's responses. Too bad it didn't drop a handy branch on each of the raiders, of course....
Author's reply
Thank you. That would have been nice, but alas, then we wouldn't have a story.

Six weeks of waiting to see if a dragon's wing bone knits properly? A lovely way to spend six weeks of sheer anxiety and growing curiosity.

Ohhh! My poor Legolas! You evil person! You shot him! How could you?
Besides that this was a great chapter. I especially liked the part about elves only comprehending elvish in times of trauma! Sounds like something only Aragorn or you could think up, adn make it believeable! I laughed way to many times for my family to think tha I'm sane anymore! I can't wait for your next update! Make it really SOON!! I just gotta know what happens next!

Author's reply
I've actually just posted the next chapter. My old computer crashed, and I had to get a new one, which is why I'm late responding.
Aragorn can come up with some great stuff, can't he? Of course, we know he would do anything for Legolas. I have nothing to do with it. :o)
My family thinks I'm nuts, so they aren't surprised at anything I do or say.

ooh, exciting... too bad they didn't escape for good. When will the dragon come back?
Author's reply

They had to get recaptured, so the dragon could show up again. Hang on.

A mixture of truth and fiction is more convincing, Aragorn. And it is hard to hide genuine worry.
I hope you get out of this one. I think it's about time a certain winged creature reappeared. Although I suppose that doesn't mean that anyone will necessarily be saved.
Author's reply
Sorry I'm late responding. My old computer crashed, and I had to get a new one.
How right you are. That certain winged creature will indeed make a reappearance. No it doesn't necessarily mean salvation, but one can only hope.

Aragorn leaving tracks, even while escaping! How shameful! :)
I'm glad they've escaped but the suspense is killing me! Bring back the dragon!!!!
Author's reply
Yes, ranger though he be, Aragorn is a human and in a hurry, so he leaves tracks. Don't worry. The dragon is not gone for good.

I couldn't access your Chapter 2 at ffnet but I can read it here, and I'm enjoying this story - although it's so frustrating that the dragon and those two missed each other!
BTW - I was the one who reviewed as Legolass Q at ff.net - I have to use the Q there because - bleeah - Legolass was already taken :-(
Author's reply
FF.net can be very frustrating sometimes. Thank you for liking the story enough to search for this chapter to read. :o)
Treco and our heroes have not parted ways permenantly. You can bet on that.

Oh! those two are always getting into hot water. They must be jinxed. And to miss Treco by half hour. What a shame.
But we wouldn't want your story to end to soon. So continue at your own pace.
I like the interaction and friendship between Aragorn and Legolas. Not too mushy, but with the right amount of warmth. Very believeable.
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
Robin
Author's reply
Think of all the great stories we'd miss, if those two stayed out of trouble. As for Treco, you know we're not finished with him yet.
I'm glad you like my portrayal of Legolas's and Aragorn's friendship. I always thought there was the potential for a lot of humor between them with a deep-seated brotherly love backing it up. (I think it was summoned up perfectly at Aragorn's coronation in ROTK, when he put his hand on Legolas's shoulder and simply said, "Thank you.")

I missed that you'd posted a new story!
I like this, and I particularly like Treco. I've always liked dragons (an Anne McCaffrey fan), and was rather sad that Smaug was so evil. I'm looking forward to what you do with this tale!
Jay
Author's reply
I've always loved dragons. I wanted to write about one that was endearing, not evil like Smaug. Aslo after the trauma of my last story, I wanted to do something in a lighter vein. I hope you will like where this goes.

What a charming story. I think those 2 are cursed! How can 2 friends find so much trouble. I enjoy how you portray their friendship and the dragon had a great personality. (exactly how I thought a middle-earth dragon would be. LOL)
post again soon.
Author's reply
Legolas and Aragorn do seem to attract trouble like magnets, don't they?. We fanfic writers keep them hopping, that's for sure. (And of course, there's trouble ahead.) I've always thought the two would display a lot of humor when they were together. I'm glad you like Treco. I do, too. I'll update as soon as I can.

Oh! I like the start of this story. I have a soft spot for dragons, from another series of books. I know that Tolkien's dragons were evil creatures, but I have always liked the scenes in The Hobbit were Bilbo and Smaug converse. Smaug might have been evil, but I liked his attitude. Your dragon, Treco, seems to have a similar personality.
Please keep writing and thank you for your gift.
Robin
Author's reply
Thank you. I also love dragons, and I love them to have attitude. It seems to go along with what kind of creatures they are. I'm glad you like Treco. I will most definitely keep writing. You are welcome.
