pipinheart · 13 March 2006 · Chapter 9: Hope Awakes

Poor Estel, you feel his torment as he feels guilt for Legolas being missing...Even Elrond can't help.... update soon....

pipinheart · 13 March 2006 · Chapter 10: Decisions Consequence

This is a very active chapter, love it... Finally find out what occured to Legolas and Estel, they would find trouble where ever they went... Legolas is very swift to get them out of the situation, but arrows in the bck, poor estel... Dorias is cruel to be making a deal with Rathir, he isn't a man I'd trust not to harm anyone.... And he could endanger more than legolas... Leandir, is a curious character, I can't wait to find out more about him...

daw the minstrel · 12 March 2006 · Chapter 10: Decisions Consequence

So trouble is heading for Legolas with the law right behind it. Good. I hope the law is up to this! I worry a little for the old man. He's capable of throwing himself between trouble and "Locke." I hope the son comes to his senses if that happens.

Bodkin · 9 March 2006 · Chapter 9: Hope Awakes

Phew - I'm glad Estel has come round at last. I love the description of his efforts to surface and his sensing Elrond's warmth. And I'm glad his health care came first and he was fed and watered - but now we need to hear all his story! I just hope he knows enough to be helpful. Those men sound a very unpleasant bunch. Well worthy of a visit from a collection of elven warriors with big swords and very pointy arrows. Fingers crossed for Estel's continued improved health!

Author's reply

I am glad that you enjoyed the chapter and description of Estel's struggle. He is back now and just has to deal with the pain of losing his good friend. Thank you VERY much for reviewing :o)

daw the minstrel · 6 March 2006 · Chapter 9: Hope Awakes

Well, boo on interruption! I want to know what happened. Who are these men? Just highwaymen? I read somewhere that medieval villages didn't have jails so one punishment for criminals was banishment, which essentially meant becoming an outlaw. Glad to see Estel awake again. I think you might have a sentence out of place. It's stuck near the closing line of asterisks right now.

Author's reply

Thank you for letting me know of the formatting error, I was able to fix it so it is correct now. The next chapter with more answers is up now. Thank you so much for reviewing :o)

Nikara · 2 March 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

So far this is an excellent. I can't wait until there is more to read. Nice job!

Author's reply

Thank you very much! I am glad that you are enjoying it :o)

BlueEyedElf · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

I think Adras was very wise to try to distract Locke. Shucking corn gave him something to do to keep his mind off his troubles. Brooding was only going to make him sick. Adras is just really sweet. He seems to know just what to say and do to help Locke along. Hopefully that key will be found soon, and Legolas will be able to come back.

Author's reply

Distraction can be very helpful at times, thank goodness for good friends. I am glad that you like Adras and that you are enjoying the story. Thank you for reviewing!

BlueEyedElf · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 7: Anala's Wrath, Angrod's Path

Poor Angrod. He's so worried for Legolas. I hope Estel will wake soon and be able to tell them something. Also, I wanted to let you know that I really like Angrod in your stories. He is a very cool OC.

Author's reply

Thank you!! I am glad that you like him. There will be a lot more of him in this story :o)

Bodkin · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

Adras is doing a great job in caring for his amnesiac elf. And Legolas is recovering - slowly, it is true, but he is recovering physically. And it is surprising what you remember when you forget all sorts of other things. I don't think the elf is well enough yet to be really worried. But it will come.

Author's reply

Adras has needed something to care about for a while now and the elf was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you again for reviewing and sticking with this story :o)

daw the minstrel · 27 February 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

Some lovely moments here. Adras's affection will help heal Legolas's spirit and he needs that.

Author's reply

The are both helping each other and lucky to have stumbled across one another :o)

pipinheart · 27 February 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

This is a sweet chapter. Legolas feels comfortable in the company Ardas, the old man eases his fears and gives him corn to shuck. A simple task but rekindles something inside him, comfort and hope. What a comfort at least he has, no memory, but someone who cares... Please continue...

Author's reply

I think you hit it on the head. They both are gaining something from one another and it is sometimes that simple things that can be the most therapeutic. Thank you!

Lyn · 26 February 2006 · Chapter 8: Feeling Again

Beautiful! My, I hate to mention that corn (maize) is found only in the Americas. Small detail. Praise to you for keeping the spoken words and the speaker together in separate paragraphs. The story flows easily. I have read several stories earlier tonight and I was beginning to think my mind wasn't working as they were very hard to understand, but your story tells me this is not the case; they were simply not as skilled as you are. Just some comments: Scuffing of another chair being dragged and place I looked this up, thinking you meant another word. Scuffing can mean touching or brushing lightly in passing or moving the feet with a draggin motion, not lifting them from the floor. I try to look up words before I mention them; I've been potentially embarrased before as "words" I thought were not words turned out to be bonafide words. Oh, well. Thank you for portraying a very good human being. One gets tired of all the miserably evil beings in fan fics. Your skill is very much admired. My only request in any fan fic is the preservation of the legitimate spelling for the verb to sneak (sneak, sneaked, has/have sneaked).

Author's reply

I thought corn would be one of those things that is easy to do and everyone just knows how to do it. It felt right. Thank you for your kind words and I am glad that people are liking Adras :o)

pipinheart · 26 February 2006 · Chapter 7: Anala's Wrath, Angrod's Path

You have to feel for Angrod, his concern for Legolas. Nobody has found anything of Legolas, not good news. also a secret between Legolas, Angrod and it seems Estel appears...Update soon....

Author's reply

Angrod and Legolas have know one another for a VERY long time and both know Estel so this is all very troubling for Angrod.

Bodkin · 21 February 2006 · Chapter 7: Anala's Wrath, Angrod's Path

If Angrod is so worried he's not paying proper attention to his surroundings, he must be in a bad way - and is likely to be the next victim! He's not in as bad a way as Estel, though. He doesn't seem well at all - I hope he soon recovers enough to say what he knows.

Author's reply

Yeah, Angrod is a little distracted and if he doesn't pull it together he might get into trouble, but at least he is safe in Imladris now. I think we might be hearing from Estel very soon, say next week ;o)

daw the minstrel · 19 February 2006 · Chapter 7: Anala's Wrath, Angrod's Path

Poor Angrod. His concern for his prince and friend must be terrible.

Author's reply

Angrod has a bit of a history with Legolas and the two will be involved in each others lives for a long time.

pipinheart · 15 February 2006 · Chapter 6: Locke

Love itt, love it...Poor Legolas, but at least Ardas is with him a good kind soul he is. But his son needs to learn some manners and compasion. Legolas is lost, no name to remember, that must be hard for the kind of independent person he is... A painful thing as well, not knowing who u are. I hope he is okay till found, at least he has a name to go by now.. Please continue, update soon

Author's reply

Great! Thank you! I am so happy that you liked the chapter. I can only imagine the fear and frustration that would come with being lost and injured and so vulnerable. They all have more challenges ahead too. Next chapter is coming right up :o)

daw the minstrel · 13 February 2006 · Chapter 6: Locke

The hint you dropped at the end of the last chapter warned me we'd be heading in the direction of amnesia. Well that's hard. I like Adras's name for Legolas. That's clever. He's a tough, smart old man.

Author's reply

Surprisingly, in all my fanfic reading, I have never come across a Legolas amnesia story so I thought it would be fun to try.

BlueEyedElf · 12 February 2006 · Chapter 6: Locke

Your parents must have had a difficult time saying no... LOL. I imagine they did. Big pleading blue eyes are hard to ignore. Once again, poor Legolas. He is so confused, but isn't physically well enough yet to cope. Perhaps things will get better as he starts ot recover physically. I like the idea that Adras feels he is simply caring for someone else's son when he is having so much trouble with his own. He probably hopes that someone else would do the same if this were Dorias. I like the name Locke. Very clever. I have a feeling that Aragorn is the key Adras is looking for. Great job! I will be waiting eagerly for more next week.

Author's reply

I saw a drawing someplace of a young Legolas and I can tell you that I would have a very hard time saying no to him. Then again, I am the aunt that all the kids come to because I never say no, so there you have it ;o) It's too bad that Adras has to compensate with Legolas. Dorias just doesn't understand what he is missing. Thank you so much for reviewing. Next chapter will be up within minutes :o)

BlueEyedElf · 12 February 2006 · Chapter 5: Irresolution

Just realized that I forgot to review this chapter. Aw, Poor Legolas. That bump on the head seems to have given him some amnesia. I hope that Adras is able to protect him from Dorias until he gets better. I like Adras more and more as this story goes on. He seems like a really nice guy. Great job! I'm off to read the next chapter.

Author's reply

I'm glad that you like Adras. He was a fun creation. Thank you so much for reviewing!

Bodkin · 8 February 2006 · Chapter 5: Irresolution

Aarrgghh! An amnesiac Legolas? I'm glad he opened his eyes, but he's clearly not about to leap to his feet any time soon. Adras is such a nice man - he is putting a lot of effort into helping the elf. I agree with his wariness about letting anyone know that he is protecting an elf - and hope that the drunken Dorias manages to keep his mouth shut. However, drunkenness and sensible reserve are not usually compatible and I can just see him mouthing off to all and sundry. I hope someone manages to inflict Dorias with an aversion to alcohol. Adras could do with a sober son who is doing something to help his aging father survive his hard life!

Author's reply

Hi Bodkin! Thank you so much for reviewing and I am so glad that you are enjoying the story and like Adras. He is so much fun to write and I have developed a little bit of an attachment to him :o)

pipinheart · 7 February 2006 · Chapter 5: Irresolution

Adras is a compassionate soul, and is taking great care of Legolas....Legolas seems to have a bit of trouble communicating, and I wonder if he dosen't have amnesia...He dosen't seem to know his name... Please update soo....

Author's reply

Thank you for reviewing. Adras is a father and has a nurturing instinct, luckily for the elf :o)

daw the minstrel · 6 February 2006 · Chapter 5: Irresolution

Adras is really a charming old guy with a gentle sense of humor. And he has plenty of fight in him yet, despite not being able to rise easily or hunt his own meat. And I'm glad to see Legolas awake. He seems to have some memory loss though. Poor elf.

Author's reply

Thank you for reviewing. Adras has a survivors instinct and a generous, open heart and for fortunately for the elf he is willing to share that instinct.

pipinheart · 2 February 2006 · Chapter 4: Sorrowed Returns

They all had bad news to report, and you can feel the sorrow...Too bad Estel couldn't tell what was wrong. I wonder if Legolas wasn't shot in the back as he was leading Estel to saftey... Continue...this is great...

Author's reply

Estel will be giving some answers soon, I promise. The next chapter is up now :o)

pipinheart · 2 February 2006 · Chapter 3: Warmth Provided

Adras has a lot of compassion in him, but he has a time getting him in his house, and his son is a jerk... He does what he can for Legolas good thing he found him... Please continue

Author's reply

I have had fun writing Adras, he is a good, kind-hearted man, the elf is lucky that he found him :o)

pipinheart · 2 February 2006 · Chapter 2: Usual Patrols

Legolas is lucky to have so many people care about him. It seems all are searching for him. Nice work...

Author's reply

Legolas is very lucky, a lot of people care about him, both in and outside the story :o)
