Thanks so much for this wonderful tale. I hope you continue to write more in the future if time and ideas permit. Lyn
Agape4Gondor · 11 April 2009 · Chapter 17: CHAPTER 17
Ah! A well-told tale indeed. Left me feeling sad for Faramir - that the brothers would be separated - but 'road trips' can be such fun! Thanks for sharing this and for your unstinting devotion to 'not' leaving a tale unfinished! Blessings, Agape
Agape4Gondor · 11 April 2009 · Chapter 16: Chapter 16
Had to go back and reread - but it was worth the time. This is truly a lovely tale. Such hardship to stand at the burial ground of a beloved father - especially one who seemed, in his last moments to have failed Gondor. But the love and understanding of Boromir was such a blessing. And Faramir's presence only made it better. Bless them both! Nice job! Glad to see it continuing (sorry I missed this chapter) Now - onto the next one! PS - hope all is well and the RW lets you enjoy yourself a bit more in this 'subcreating' thing!
Linda Hoyland · 17 May 2008 · Chapter 16: Chapter 16
It is nice to see the brothers finding some peace at last with the past.
Agape4Gondor · 5 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Chapter 15
Loved the preparations and thought how right it was for the people of Gondor to welcome home their 'son' with joy and banners and song! I cried 'Yeah!' when they began the 'Boromir' chant! *quiet sob of appreciation* *wishes I was there* Aw'd at Boromir's exhaustion and yet his continuing on to touch the White Tree. So symbolic for all of Gondor... but especially her Numenorean sons and daughters. I loved Elros' gentle support. Oh - and I wrote 'Excellent' next to the silver trumpet paragraph - One cannot speak of Boromir without a silver trumpet somewhere near - and you wrote it exquisitely. And I loved that he couldn't open hi seyes till his brother spoke. I loved the glimmer of mischief... ah, yes. He is recovering! The next chapter will be difficult - I hope you can post it soon - for I much desire to see/hear/feel what Boromir does at the tomb. Oh - and I dearly hope that he takes Faramir with him??? Though perhaps his little brother isn't quite ready for that. Excellent chapter!

A touching homecoming for Boromir.

Oh wow, jenolas, it's great to see you back!! If you don't mind, I'm going to wait and re-read the whole thing again when I can before leaving a review because it's been a while but I just wanted to let you know I'm still reading. I hope all is well and really, it's so good to see an update from you again :-)

Hi Dot, it's wonderful to hear from you again. All is well at present and I hope to be able to update more often, I hate the thought of leaving a fic unfinished. I hope you enjoy the fic when you read it again and I look forward to any comments you may wish to make. regards jenolas
lyncarol333 · 3 May 2008 · Chapter 15: Chapter 15
I'm pleased that Boromir doesn't think badly of what happened to Denathor, as no one is perfect. I also got a laugh out of Boromir and Aragorn's reaction to Haldir and elves and the knack for understatement. Thank you for a wonderful update, and i look forward to reading more from you when you have the time. Lyn

Yes, Elves can be people of few words at times! I think his own experience with the one ring would have given Boromir the ability to see that his father was not entirely himself in his last days. Thanks for taking the time to review, I know it has been a long time between updates. jenolas
Agape4Gondor · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Ah! This was an excellent chapter. I'm not surprised at Boromir's decision - how could he ever take back a position that now belonged to his beloved brother? And how could the people not be joyous at the news of his return? Again - great chapter and I loved the ending - and what Legolas 'sees!' Whoo hoo - party tonight in Minas Tirith!
Linda Hoyland · 23 September 2007 · Chapter 14: Chapter 14
A nice chapter as the brothers wait to be reunited. I'm glad Faramir is to remain as Steward, the job suits him. I agree with Legolas over Aragorn's pipe ! You have a vouple of minor typos you might wish to fix "TThey sat in silence" and "his own ranger instincts were still in tact.
Larner · 16 September 2007 · Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Alas that Boromir is still so weakened; but I rejoice to know he will soon be welcomed back to the city. As for Faramir's concerns--they are to be expected, considering the circumstances.
Linda Hoyland · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13
it is good to see Boromir recovering.I look forward to his reunion with Faramir.
Agape4Gondor · 18 August 2007 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13
The death of so many was indeed very sad - and Boromir must come to terms with that also.... I cannot wait for the celebration!!! Whoo hoo!!
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 12: Chapter 12
Oh! I loved how you wrote the friendships!
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 10: Chapter 10
What a sad thing to go through - seeing his own death once again - and the memory brought on by the sad mourning song of the Elves... I love the reminder of Earendil as Elros' father.
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Elros... very interesting... somewhere in the depths of my heart, I had hoped it was Denethor...
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Wow - I'm glad Aragorn and Legolas got there so quickly. And Boromir's dreams and spirit are still being assailed.... *shivers*
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Very good chapter - it seems only fitting that Boromir return *crosses fingers in hope* when the City is repaired.
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Such a heavy blow for a proud and noble man - to not even be able to lift his shield... and how would he ever protect his little brother again?
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3
A beautiful reunion scene - and I loved Galadriel's revenge against Sauron... but my heart is aching at the 'implied' meaning of Boromir's words. Are the brothers to be separated again? No!
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Ah ha! Boromir! Well, that is a surprise and a delight. But I am befuddled... I'll wait and read some more....
Agape4Gondor · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1
A very nice start in a very sad place. But my heart lodged in my throat when Faramir discovered Boromir's pack. How very, very sad... and yet, a small gift. Nice writing.
Larner · 17 August 2007 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13
Yes, and rightly so. Welcome back to Gondor, Boromir son of Denethor.
