That's a lovely birthday tribute. Poor Gilraen... dreaming of what *could* be, but knowing what *must* be.
Author's reply
I could not even imagine living in such an era, knowing your father, husband, brother, and/or son *had* to fight and could die any day... I simply could never imagine it.
That is a lovely second mathom to celebrate the birthday of your favourite Ranger, after the one at TORn. To watch Gilraen with her newborn son was nice. I always thought it so sad that not only Arathorn died so soon, but Gilraen didn't get to live until Aragorn was crowned King and married to his beloved Arwen - she would have been so happy!

Author's reply
I agree- she should have lived longer than she did, but simply withered away. Life is certainly not fair.
Someone should write an AU of her being at the wedding. It would be interesting to see what she thinks.
Thanks for the review! :)

Just lovely and beautiful. Such a sweetly poingnant line regarding telling her he was afraid he was simply imagining her there - indicates what he's gone through in waiting and wishing so long. Just sweet and dear and all that good stuff.

Very funny in a natural and understated way! Strider should try getting some roses. I'd love to see him coming back to the Citadel and Arwen with a penitent look and a bouquet of flowers.

A great great little snippit that had me snorting into my non-existant ale too. I agree, when the muse is awake tend her carefully and never mind the word count.

My muse has been faltering a little lately, but I've been spoiling it with chocolate. I have to nurture it and make sure it doesn't die...

Oh Laire...This was so lovely. Poor Aragorn having to take refuge from Arwen in an inn. She is the Granddaughter of Galadriel after all, so... ;o) I agree w/you BTW. Just because they were born to be w/each other, doesn't mean they were perfect. There are times when my parents have their odd tiff and get annoyed w/each other and they'll have been married 40 years on August 10th of the New Year on it's way.
Yes, I have a party to plan and that's already started too. Anyway...
This was just delightful m'dear and a very, very Happy Birthday to you!! (((HUGS)))

I believe that Arwen's wrath was one of the scariest things in the world. Her bloodline just screams scary. Anyways, thank you for reviewing.

I enjoyed this very much. *big smile on face* Even kings have to 'hide out' once and a while. it also gives the wife a chance to 'save face' and to think things through. Good to be apart sometimes.

Is it not amazing how a two year old, or any child, will home in on the the thing he is not suppose to touch, or what will cause the most damage.
Author's reply
Yes, definitely! When my parents hosted a couple orphans from Colombia, they were touching everything that my parents had not yet put away. And my young sister is learning about all the no-nos, as well. Thank you for the review :)

Kudos for having noticed the consecutive generations, and the names all beginning with "El." [Or maybe I'm the only one who *didn't* notice.]
The twins are an interesting idea for Aragorn and Arwen's children (though it's a pity you couldn't make them a fourth generation of *male* twins). And after Baggins Babe's Gamgee twins story, this seems to be Twins Week at SoA....
Author's reply
I'm a fan of looking at family trees, so I had some advantage there :) As for two males, I will put the blame on Tolkien there for giving Aragorn only one son ;) Thanks for reviewing!

Not all childrenn go through 'terrible twos' and I find that age so delightful to watch and interact with. :) They help to bring back 'kid joy' to us ol' younguns. *giggle*
Author's reply
Oh, certainly! But, joyful or not, they certainly try and get their hands on everything- I have been experiencing that, myself. But yes, I love to watch little ones. :) Thanks for the review.

Love it! Why shouldn't these two have the same frustrations and "learning curve" with parenting as anyone else? It makes perfect sense that they'd have twins, and I really like that idea.
Merry Christmas, Suvi!

Ah, yes, the terrible twos indeed, when children begin to want to explore and learn to say "No!" while learning to ignore the same term when used toward them! Ah, I remember it well. Wait, however, till they reach the more terrible teens! Aack! Didn't know if I'd survive that period of time!
Love the idea of another generation of twins.
Author's reply
LOL, as I have a sibling both in the teens and in the toddler stages, I completely agree with you; the terrible teens are much worse than the twos. And I cannot help but imagine that Eru gave this line like, at least 10 generations of twins. I think he had a sense of humor. :D Thank you for the review.

Poor guy, I wonder if even he can keep track of all of them. One wonders if he ever got them mixed up XD
Close, but no cigar. I consider myself a little bit young to have a daughter- it's a little sister :) I am still a few days short of being able to be legally married, much less have a child (even if some of my peers do...)
Anyways, thank you, and have a Merry Christmas!

Hey mellon-nin! I was so happy to recieve a story alert for you! So your muse is alive and kicking again, eh? That is good news. I can't wait to see what else you come up with--this was terrific. Gandalf was wonderful, and very realistic, which can't be easy I imagine. Very enjoyable indeed. You've made my morning. =)
