Bwhahahahahah! Oh, the newly posted chapters are just what I needed to read today after reading the latest chapter of Fiondil's "In Darkness Bound", which was a real tear-jerker. I love the humor of this tale, and the sweetness too. :)
But now I'm wondering just who slapped Frodo. The song is full of implication, but really isn't THAT bad!
(And now I'm wondering if Eomer is going to get slapped too!)
Well done, Celeritas! Thank you so much for grins and giggles!

It appears that the feelings of both Eomer and Faramir are being played upon most skillfully!

Suggestive, at least, if not outright bawdy!
Author's reply
Well, bawdy by hobbit standards, at least.

Oh, my! What mayhem is ensuing! Vaire must be chortling like mad at her loom! :)
I honestly can't say which part of this chapter is my favorite. I love it all!
And my mind is trying to develop a melody to go with the "Postal Lass from Delving" song...
Well done!
Author's reply
Thanks!!
I figure Vaire must get bored from time to time and needs the diversion. :)

Took Sight in a Baggins, and Took charm in the resident Took. And a good beer in hand, apparently. Now, to see how they gain access to Aragorn's feet....
Author's reply
What Took Sight?
Author Reply: Sorry, that was a ruder reply than it should have been... but really, there's no such thing as Took Sight in canon. If anything, it should be called Baggins sight since Frodo evinces more signs of it than Pippin ever did. :)

Ah, dear--he has rather put his foot right in it. And she has handily set him up to embarrass himself, hasn't she? Now he has a good deal of apologizing to do!
Author's reply
Yes, and he'll only make things worse...

Oh, dear--found hunting the hairpin by Galadriel herself! Not good.

Nope, not good at all...

Aha! So THIS is where the feathers come in, is it? And his feet are particularly ticklish, are they? Heh! Not fair, but fun!
Author's reply
Yes, and this isn't the first time Aragorn's had ticklish feet (although I did come up with the idea specifically for this tale).

Peacock feathers....tickling.....missing hairpins....this is going to be pretty hilarious.

I hope it was!!

Well, this should be entertaining! Merry, Pippin, and the Twins working together.....Aragorn has no chance. *Grin*

No, he really doesn't!

Oh, no--he can't have lost one of those! Poor guy! But the idea the whole court will be so drunk they won't remember this in the morning as anything more than an alcohol-induced dream is attractive, I'm sure!
Author's reply
Attractive, yes, but unfortunately not terribly likely.

This one had me laughing, which, considering the nasty cough I'm suffering and the pain in my ribs is uncomfortable. So, Pippin's not going to tell further on himself, and Frodo's premonitions are bugging him? Interesting. Poor Aragorn has no idea what he's in for! And how is the Khandis going to take this evening's entertainment, I wonder?
Author's reply
Oh, dear! Well, I'm sorry I made you feel uncomfortable, but happy you laughed!

An excellent strategy, and hopefully enough to draw the attention of the guests from the King and Steward's attire!

Probably not enough, though. *snicker*

Well, he asked for it, and Eomer will have his comeuppance now, even if Faramir thinks to have second thoughts!

He did ask for it, and I think in the long run, he won't regret it!

Saved! Poor Frodo--seeing his friend the King in such a state, even if just in a picture! Heh! Now, to see if Aragorn realizes that a certain Hobbit just outsmarted him!
Author's reply
I don't think Frodo is too fazed by the whole thing--and besides, he'll get to see him in person at the party! It's more the fact that Pippin went to all that trouble to get a record of it!

Now, that's an interesting request to make. It's going to be very interesting, this pub-crawling party that is planned for the evening. And love Frodo and Sam's fondness for one another, and Frodo's "permission" for Sam to reprove him--ONCE. Heh!
Author's reply
Yes, only once--we can't let Sam get too cocky now, can we?

Indeed, the perfect misdirection in this case. And Aragorn will never realize he's now memorialized for posterity in drag! Heh!
