Larner · 1 October 2011 · Chapter 47
Heh! Nothing like hiding in plain sight, as it were!
Author's reply
Hard to do, mind you, when you're running around the City in a skort!

Heh! Nothing like hiding in plain sight, as it were!
Author's reply
Hard to do, mind you, when you're running around the City in a skort!
Larner · 1 October 2011 · Chapter 46
A most elegant, egalitarian, and democratic solution! Hooray for Merry!
Author's reply
Granted, it will change the atmosphere of the party considerably...
Larner · 1 October 2011 · Chapter 45
It's interesting that Sam heard the noise.
Silmarien · 28 September 2011 · Chapter 46
Snerk.
Author's reply
Thanks! *grin*
Larner · 27 September 2011 · Chapter 44
Ah, dear--the hunt is now officially up! Can he escape one irate King in a golden dress? I still hold he has the advantage.
Author's reply
We shall see...
Larner · 27 September 2011 · Chapter 43
As neither Pippin nor Merry is wearing a corset, Pippin has the distinct advantage in this race. As for Faramir's new audience--heh! A delightful dilemma!
Author's reply
He has that advantage, but the King also has access to a lot more resources!
Larner · 27 September 2011 · Chapter 42
Oh, dear--things do sound particularly ominous!
Author's reply
Yes--only time will tell if he manages to get out of this one in one piece!
Lynn H · 25 September 2011 · Chapter 41
Eomer is doomed! She'll find him - Lotheriel!
Author's reply
And he won't even see it coming...
Larner · 25 September 2011 · Chapter 41
Methinks he trusts perhaps too much the wrong person. Ah, Lothiriel, do you know what you're in for? Soon the two realms will have double ties.... I love the image of Eowyn with the invisible halter to hand, ready to assist Faramir in his plan! Heh!
Author's reply
Lothiriel knows exactly what she's in for, I'm sure--she's had ample opportunity to observe him!
Larner · 25 September 2011 · Chapter 40
Hmm. His appearance would indeed excite comment among the boys. And now he teaches these boys the rudiments of being gentlemen? Excellent! And Miriel does need the comfort of company, I think. Lovely.
Author's reply
Well, the boys already know the rudiments, I'm sure, but it still takes some coaxing to get them to actually behave that way. I'm sure Miriel appreciates the gesture.
Larner · 24 September 2011 · Chapter 39
Oh, dear--he actually found the law in question. Although it sounds as if it were intended to catch prostitutes rather than just beggars. Now, to see how it can be properly circumvented. And it does sound as if they could really do with a proper catalog. As for his thoughts on corsets--I agree! At least he now knows what women have done to themselves over the years in order to appear more comely!
Author's reply
Intended, yes, but when that doesn't explicitly make its way into the books, the law can be skewed. And, for the record, Faramir's ideas on the corset are a bit affected by the fact that he's in one that doesn't really fit...
Larner · 22 September 2011 · Chapter 38
And I must agree with Merry's estimation of Eowyn's capabilities and current state of mind. Eomer may well have just left himself open to an assault he hasn't yet seen coming!
Author's reply
Granted, Merry is a wee bit biased, but Eomer really doesn't know what he's just gotten himself into...
Larner · 22 September 2011 · Chapter 37
Will he be able to get to his room, do you think? If anyone can do it, Pippin can, I believe. Quite the contest has been set up in this one.
Author's reply
Only time will tell...
Larner · 22 September 2011 · Chapter 36
Aha! Caught in the act! Delightful! Poor Targon--now he has to betray Pippin after betraying the King himself.
Author's reply
If you ask me, though, Targon got out lucky!
Larner · 14 September 2011 · Chapter 35
An interesting observation! Now--to see what chaos is to happen next!
Author's reply
Yep.
Larner · 14 September 2011 · Chapter 34
Plans are definitely afoot! And does Aragorn realize that Targon has been enlisted to record the day? Heh!
Author's reply
He will...
Larner · 14 September 2011 · Chapter 33
Aha! Does he enlist Lothiriel's aid, then? Interesting turn of events!
Author's reply
Or Erchirion's, or Amrothos', or Elphir's...
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 32
Ah, dear--at least he caught them at it! And the crowning glory of the King's hairdo---- Oh, dear--he must be looking forward intently to the end of this day, not that I blame him overmuch!
Author's reply
I'd be looking forward to it to, if I were he!
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 31
Aha! Not the worm Eomer imagines, but Lord Denethor's surviving son, quite capable of being appropriately retaliatory! Good!
Author's reply
And he's only getting started...
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 30
Perhaps the ale will be welcomed by the Khandis! And I can certainly imagine that the Hobbits would be embarrassed to always find their coin refused.
Author's reply
Yes, the Khandis is the big question mark hanging in the air for this whole story.
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 29
Good answer! At last Eomer has managed to get the reaction he wished to see, apparently. And love the bond already grown between Faramir and his new horse!
Author's reply
Well, he got a reaction, but I think he was hoping to be challenged in battle. Unfortunately for him, Faramir knows how to be subtle...
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 28
I can appreciate his unwillingness to appear before family dressed like this, but if anyone can carry this off, Aragorn can!
Author's reply
We hope so, at least...
Larner · 9 September 2011 · Chapter 27
Ooh--cruel! Oh, Pippin--how could you?
Author's reply
Well, imagine the alternative--going through life with no record of this day existing!
bookworm · 6 September 2011 · Chapter 26
LOL oh dear, poor Faramir. Eomer will be dead when his sister finds out, but until then, I guess he intends to thoroughly enjoy fulfiling his brotherly duties to intimidate/embarass/generally harass his brother-in-law-to-be!
Author's reply
What's worse, I think Eomer genuinely thinks that Eowyn won't mind too much because it's all for a good cause, right?... *snicker*
Larner · 6 September 2011 · Chapter 26
Ooh--do we wish to kill our future brother-in-law? Add to the torture, Eomer! Poor Faramir!
Author's reply
More test than kill, of course--Eomer is reasonably assured that Faramir's going to get out of this alive, even if most of his dignity is in shambles by the end.
