Hi Laikwalasse The story is beautiful and sad. This is a wonderful tribute to Fiondil and to all who go over the sea. Thank you Galathil
Author's reply
thank you so much, Galadhil. Maybe we will all meet again on other shores. It´s a nice hope. Lai
Matt · 20 October 2015 · Chapter 14: a final farewell
Too bad there couldn't be a happy ending but in some ways this story is better because you didn't give us one. Thanks for your hard work on this, I will keep an eye open for other stories with an elven focus from you.
Author's reply
there is a happy ending in some way. It´s high time for the Valar to intervene. Thank you so much for your lovely review. I´m glad you like my stories and will keep an eye on them. My focus will always be on elves. Lai
Semmley · 18 October 2015 · Chapter 14: a final farewell
Finally! Glorfindel has realized Elvea will be waiting for him. Let's face it, the Valar owes that happy ending to him. All's well that ends well. Thank you for this story Lai, I've enjoyed it very much.
Author's reply
yes, the Valar have much to make right. Glorfindel deserves at least this small hope. I´m glad you liked my story, my friend. Thank you so much for your constant reviewing. You know how much appreciate it. Lai
Larner · 17 October 2015 · Chapter 14: a final farewell
At least Glorfindel is finally healing indeed, and will not linger. The thought that the healed Elvea will be awaiting them with Celebrian is heartening. I'll admit I'd not thought of it. And we all miss Fiondil!
Author's reply
the thought came to me with the last chapter and thrilled me. The only way to get Glorfindel back and lure him to the blessed lands. Fiondil suggested the name for Elvea. What would I give for a review of him....thanks for reviewing, Larner. I really appreciate it. Lai
shirebound · 17 October 2015 · Chapter 14: a final farewell
something that is lost on these shores may be found again on other shores. I hope this is true, not only for our beloved Elves. What a marvelous tale, and a lovely, poignant gift for Fiondil who, also, may be waiting on distant shores.
Author's reply
exactly my thoughts, shirebound. Thank you so much for your lovely reviews and following my story. Lai
Semmley · 25 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
Such evil and heartache. Elrond is desperate to leave, but Glorfindel is in a very dark place and will not listen to reason. I am enjoying this story Lai, and look forward to finding out how this misery is resolved.
Author's reply
Elrond can no longer wait but he cannot leave without knowing about Glorfindel. He is not to envy right now. Elrond´s misery is a mirror of my soul at the moment, as you know but I will solve the problems - here and there. Thank you so much for your review, Tina. Lai
Larner · 18 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
Morgoth's influence is still being felt, and Glorfindel continues to grieve the healing of heart and spirit he'd so worked to evoke.
Author's reply
hopefully Elrond can soon pull the warrior from this deep hole of sorrow. It would do both of them good. Thank you for a most appreciated review, Larner. Lai
Larner · 18 September 2015 · Chapter 12: bitter truth
It appears that she has been only partly arrested in whatever process was used to turn Elves into orcs. Alas for Glorfindel's dreams of seeing her restored.
Author's reply
maybe it´s better to never learn what was behind the plan of an insane Istari. Poor Glorfindel indeed! Thank you for reviewing, Larner. Lai
eliza · 14 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
Hi Laikwalasse, I'm loving this story but for some reason this chapter really has me a bit pissed at Glorifindel. I mean, he gets his life saved twice by Elrond and you'd think he'd show a little gratitude. lol. Well, it was nice to see Namo and Vaire. I always enjoy when they show up. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's reply
Glorfindel will see reason - he always have. This time he only needs a bit more time. I´m glad you liked my Valar - they are not easy to write. Thanks for a most appreciated review, Lai
Marianel · 13 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
Oh dear...😖😱 Glorfindel.. Elrond.. Anticipating the next chapter !
Author's reply
poor guys - both of them. Looking forward to see you at the next chapter. LOL. Thanks for reviewing. Lai
Ellie · 13 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
What a horrible way for Glorfindel to learn the truth and to lose his love all over again. I pity Elrond for all be had endured in this ad well. Maybe when Glorfindel does finally sail he will see her whole and well again.
Author's reply
Glorfindel would have deserved better. Poor guys - both of them. To see her again will be Glorfindel´s only hope. Thank you so much for reviewing, Ellie. Lai
shirebound · 13 September 2015 · Chapter 13: clean sweep
He would lift the ban, and the poor soul would finally find her way home. Vairë was already informing her sister Nienna to take all sorrow from the she elf´s shoulders and give Elvëa the peace she had long deserved. Oh my. Such a tragic tale, yet still with a breath of hope.
Author's reply
that´s the least what the Valar can do for our poor Glorfindel. Thanks for a much appreciated review, shirebound. Lai
Semmley · 11 September 2015 · Chapter 12: bitter truth
Ah! Glorfindel "There are none so blind as those who will not see." How will Elrond be able to convince his friend that the woman is possessed? You've got a big problem on your plate Elrond. As ever, looking forward to your next chapter Lai.
Author's reply
I doubt if any more talking will change anything. Glorfindel will not listen. So there is only waiting at the next chapter, my friend. LOL. Thanks for the review, Tina. Lai
Ellie · 9 September 2015 · Chapter 12: bitter truth
Glorfindel is still clueless. Love is blind in his case. I do not envy Elrond the task ahead.
Author's reply
sadly Elrond has others to care for too and so Glorfindel cannot be his sole concern. Glorfindel is really not in his right mind right now and he will again react differently than expected. Thank you for reviewing, Ellie. Lai
shirebound · 8 September 2015 · Chapter 12: bitter truth
Goodness, she certainly does sound possessed. What a strange situation this is.
Author's reply
long anticipated by Elrond but being confronted is really strange. Now it´s hard to know what to do. Thank you for reviewing, shirebound. Lai
Semmley · 5 September 2015 · Chapter 2: a dark place
From the time Glorfindel opened the bricked-up cell and Elrond said "some secrets should remain hidden", Elrond's instincts have only reinforced his alarm and distrust of the whole situation. His instincts have proven correct. What now Lai? Looking forward to another long chapter.
Author's reply
the sad thing is that both positions can be understood, yet Glorfindel would do good to heed Elrond´s warnings. What now indeed, but read on, my friend and you will see...thanks for a most appreciated review, Tina. Lai
Larner · 31 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
She is apparently delerious, and possibly more than halfway to orc-hood. Now, to see if they can unravel the reasons Saruman had kept her so imprisoned.
Author's reply
I fear she is a bit more than delirious. Saruman has reached them at last and everyone involved is paying the price. Thanks for reviewing, Larner. Lai
demeter d · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress
As Little Orphan Annie would say, "Oh My Goodness"! All at once. As other reviewers have noted, you have given us clues, chiefly Elrond's simmering sense of dread. I was expecting some subtle form of attack, or some sabotage. This was dramatic. But now, as another reviewer has noted, who really is this in Elvea's body? Or are there two in there, herself, and some servant of Sauron or Morgoth? This is really intrigueing!
Author's reply
Glorfindel´s motivation is clear but he should not ingnore Elrond´s warnings. He should open his mind and consider that not all is as it looks like with Elvea. Thanky ou so much for a most appreciated review, demeter d. Lai
Linda Hoyland · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
What a twist to the plot! it seems Elrond was right.
Author's reply
he seldom errs and Glorfindel should have heeded the hints and been a bit suspicious. Thanks for reviewing Linda. Lai
shirebound · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
Good heavens, what a shock for everyone! :O
Author's reply
indeed what a shock. For Elrond in being right and Glorfindel in losing all his hopes - poor guys. Thanks so much for reviewing, shirebound. Lai
Matt · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
Wow, interesting twist. Not unsurprising given the hints you've left but 'surprising' all the same. Thanks for your hard work on this and for a slightly longer chapter, too.
Author's reply
thank YOU for reading and reviewing. I´m glad you like the twist. I´m working on longer chapters - really. LOL! Lai
Ellie · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
Poor Glorfindel and poor Erestor! What a wicked betrayal that was. I pity Elrond for being right in this matter. I hope Elrond deals with this matter decisively and before Glorfindel wakes up. Then again, if Glorfindel gets to confront his betrayer, then maybe he will realise he was in the wrong all this time.
Author's reply
Elrond is surely not happy in being right - again. I hope Glorfindel will now see reason and Erestor was at the wrong place at the wrong time. And all this in the face of the impending departure - not good at all. Thank you so much for reviewing, Ellie. Lai
Marianel · 30 August 2015 · Chapter 11: striking fate
This was indeed an unexpected turn of events! Even if Elrond hinted at some curiousity with this woman I never though it was demons. And where did the poor womans soul go? Wheres the real Elvea gone to? I really fear for Glorfindel, what a blow for him. And just what are the Gods up to?I hope they can help our dear characters . You really gave us a stiff cliffhanger! I cant wait for the solution! Great writing!
Author's reply
I´m glad you like the dramatic twist. Elrond was right and Glorfindel blinded with old guilty feelings. Have the Gods really helped in the past? I doubt a real intervention from their side but wait and see or better read - grin. I really appreciate any review, Marianel. Thank you so much for yours. Lai
