As a reader, I first stumbled upon The Lord of the Rings back in the dark days of early 2002, as I had heard good things about the film and wanted to have read the books before I even set foot in the cinema. I arrived at the concept of fanfiction a couple of months later, having always been one of those annoying "what if" people who just can't leave a story alone. Needless to say, I discovered that there were many many people like me, and I've been writing fanfiction on and off ever since. |
