Written for the "Outside the Box" Challenge for LOTR_GFIC, in which participants had to write something they'd never written before. I have never written a futuristic, steampunkish AU of LotR. I also have never written anything in which each chapter is a graduated FLF. A familiar story in another time, another place...CHAPTER 8: Our heroes reach the spaceport at Bree...(Written for the January 2011 "Potluck" challenge at the LOTR GFIC community.)
