This story is dedicated to Dreamflower, whose prompt inspired it, and from whom I took the idea for Bilbo's bedtime story. My Hobbit characterization owes a lot to Dreamflower generally, and no doubt other nods to her fics will be evident! At the age of 11, Bilbo is the equivalent of 7 in human years.
