Note: This is Shirebound's prize for winning my weekly trivia contest. For those who think the feast was Frodo and Sam's first meal after awaking: no, it wasn't. I checked, and they had a light meal before being honored.

It ain't what we'd have called a meal, back in the Shire -- just broth, bread, and juice. I reckon it ain't even our first since getting rescued, as I weren't hungry when I woke, so they must have fed us somehow while we slept. But it's the first food we've seen awake, other than lembas, for days on days.

Mr. Frodo stares at it. "Oh, Sam," he says at last. "It really is over."

I know just what he means. We sit with tears in our eyes, looking at it, so beautiful we can't even touch it 'til Gandalf reminds us it's there to eat.
