What a cute little Pippin! He would make a very noisy little green bug - among the tomatoes, too. And I think I'm with Merry that an afternoon of looking after him could seem very long - and remarkably tiring! And isn't it just the truth that little kids can be mortally offended without you even realising you've upset them! Author Reply: Merry did have his hands full. Probably drove him completely buggy! (Couldn't resist that pun, sorry.) Thanks for reading!

That was soooo sweet! A green, little five-year-old hobbit-bug! I love these little moments between the young cousins. Thanks for sharing your wonderful tales! Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you for reading them. It's alwasya nice to hear what you think of these little stories. It's always good to hear from friends. Now, go write something.

Very cute! Pippin's interest and questions on the bug were great! I especially like this: "It’s very good at being a bug, isn’t it?" Delightful! Thank you for the fun! Author Reply: Thank you! I'm so glad that you liked it.

And, of course, Pippin does turn green later on! Loved the conversation about bugs. It's very much something little boys would talk about. Author Reply: Bugs are just too interesting not to talk about. LOL I had watched a special on Animla Planet and so I really should have credited them on this bug idea. And yes, Pippin would have been able to hide in the grass a bit later on after Merry dyed him green. LOL

Awwwww!! This is so sweet! I can so easily see the whole thing, you describe it so well. And you capture perfectly the inquisitive and imaginative mind of a small child. I love Merry's indulgence of Pippin, and the knowledge that--yes, he *will* go straight for the tomatoes! (So would I; nothing beats a home-grown tomato! 8-D) Author Reply: I love fresh-picked tomatoes myself! I can see Pippin eating them and crawling out of the garden covered in juice. So can Merry. Thank you for the review and for reading these.
