Seeing Isn't Always Believing  by shirebound 17 Review(s)

Oh my! I loved the second one - of course, the first was brilliant - who doesn't love a good foot massage... but the second... great insight! *shivers*
The blade that was broken...

Author Reply: One of my favorite things is trying to find connections between things (or people) that aren't obvious... like Frodo seeing himself as a 'blade that was broken'.

Just lovely, I always imagine Aragorn is good at massage.
Very moving about the broken sword.

Author Reply: Thank you, Linda. I think Frodo and Aragorn have a very special bond.

Another pair I recall vividly. And I suspect my comments from the last time are here. The comfort of Aragorn's hands easing the weary feet, followed by the realization of how empty Frodo's life has become as those who love him seek an easing for him. How deeply Frodo is loved by Aragorn and Arwen and all they represent.

Author Reply: I really appreciate you reading and commenting on these again. It's wonderful to be able to imagine these little "fill in" moments for Frodo.

Always nice to see Frodo getting some TLC! He needs so much of it, poor dear.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I will never tire of Frodo TLC! :D

Oooohhhh *moans softly* there is absolutely nothing better than a good foot rub. It's amazing how it can make your whole body feel better. Good old Merry, passing that along to the King. Figures that hobbits especially, going barefoot all the time, would appreciate them most of all.

And I love the picture of Frodo, trusting *his* King enough to sag against him, showing his weakness, and Aragorn recognizing the honor. Poor broken Frodo, how I wish he could have found healing in the Shire, surrounded by his friends and family. *sigh*

Author Reply: Frodo deserved so much more healing than his beloved Shire was able to give him. I think that's why I write so many "happily ever after on Tol Eressea" stories... just to be able to imagine him well, healed, and getting a second chance at happiness.

WOw. "seeing Isn't Always Believing" is an untapped gold mine! Or an discovered Dragon lair without the dragon...but the point is, this collection of stories is wonderful! This one in particular is sad and sweet. Poor Frodo! But then the first one was happy! You do throw me on a wild ride of emotions! LOL!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggisn

Author Reply: Wow, thank you so much, my friend. I do love writing scenarios in which Frodo can get all the comfort, respect, and tender care he deserves. And if there's a spot for some gentle teasing or humor... All the better!

*contented sigh* Ah, I think perhaps my insatiable desire for Frodo h/c-or rather, Frodo h/cccc-has temporarily been satisfied. :) The second fic in this chapter was very poignant, and the first was irresistably sweet! "Don't stop." What a simple request, and one, I think, that anyone would gratify. These brought a smile to my face.
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Frodo h/ccccc is such a joy -- to write, and to share!

*hugs*
