Of course Aragorn would have Legolas to accompany him in the pranks, lol. Merry and Pippin are after all two! :)

"Luinil gazed at the smug Ranger drily for a moment, than took the tray. She had had far too much experience with this particular mortal to not know when he was up to something." LOL! Just wonderful! The war isn't over yet! And I'm still counting on Frodo! It's impossible, I think, that the cries of distate from his cousins will not wake him, and when Merry has told him HIS version of the story, he will think of something, I'm sure ;-) Author Reply: I'm glad you like it! And I haven't really decided if Frodo's going to join the war. He'll definitely get woken up, but depending upon what Merry actually tells him (remember, Frodo would also find out about the frog!), Frodo may or may not be sucked in. Not immediately, in any case. ^_^

The plot thickens! Now Merry is going to have to find a way to identify the culprit. And his honor will demand he one-up Aragorn. This is a delightful plot line; all too rarely do we see silliness and pranks in Rivendell. I would love to see our recovering Ring-bearer get sucked into it! (hint, hint) Author Reply: Hobbit honor is a funny thing. Aragorn doesn't know quite what he's started, lol! I have no idea if Frodo will become sucked into this. I see him as the long-suffering elder cousin. :)

Oh, this is getting better and better. Though, I have to admit, Merry's comment about the Elf "code" is giving me Pirates of the Caribbean associations... "Keep to the Code" and all that. ;) Having a sudden craving for fruity pancakes. Author Reply: Lol, POTC was showing on TV when I was writing this chapter, and that's were the code remark came from. Go make fruity pancakes! Go! ^_^

I see. So, this is how the war advances, is it? Poor little Hobbits are going to learn that this Ranger has tricks up his sleeve, too. And hiding behind Frodo and Bilbo? How ineffective! Author Reply: It was terribly ineffective, and I'm afraid the lads are out for blood now! :)

Faith, the Sue Slayer Proud member of IMSGSET and the Sue Squad Author Reply: No, they definitely haven't met the twins! I'll see if I can't introduce them later. I have a feeling they would make good mercenaries. ^_^

Ooooh....I found myself wincing in pain w/Merry and Pip. That was evil. Sheer brilliance, but evil all the same. :oD Loved the breakfast scene. Aragorn being in such a bright and cheery mood would certainly set off alarm bells in Pippin's head and then for Legolas to sit beside him and mention the bull frog...LOL!!! This is so much fun to read. I'm assuming there's more, right? Please? :oD Author Reply: Yes, there is more coming! :) I'm glad you like it! The hobbits would be very worried if everyone was so nice the next day. Poor lads.

Oh dear! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...poooor Merry and Pippin *snort* Of course, Aragorn does not yet realize that he has just upped the ante. You do *not* mess with a hobbit's food, and most *especially* you do not mess with their tea! (im)Patiently waiting for more... Author Reply: And more is coming! The hobbits will be out for blood after this. You're right, *no one* messes with a hobbit's food! Alas, poor Aragorn. :)

Still howling!!! Keep it coming pleeese! And thanks for including Legolas. Author Reply: Yay! I like making people laugh. :) Legolas is fun to write, especially when he's in context with the hobbits. I always thought that he had great potential for being truly hilarious.
