I love the string! And the bit about the sword being reforged was priceless. This little tale is really cute. I wonder if the twins will join in to help Aragorn. The possibilities are endless, really... ~TF Author Reply: The possibilities are what make this fic fun. I'm enjoying it hugely. :)

Hee!! I LOVE the string prank. And Boromir must be thinking that everyone in Rivendell is a few horses short of an eored, if you take my meaning. [/Sam moment] And I can certainly imagine that being polite and keeping them in suspense is a much worse punishment at the moment than instant retaliation would be... I could just see them wondering what kind of horrid plans he's coming up with and their imaginations getting all worked up. Author Reply: A few horses short of an eored! I love it!! The hobbits will definitely be jumpy for a bit. Aragorn's being mean about it. :)

oh, I love the string idea, and poor Aragorn, not knowing why the hobbits are doing this, and having to be rescued by Boromir. "Don't Panic" from Merry, shades of Douglas Adams, Pippen is right having a smiling happy ranger, can only mean trouble. Looking foward to what's happening in the library. Author Reply: Poor Aragorn indeed! I wonder how he'll react when he learns why they're peeved. :) More coming soon!

I hope that Sam and Frodo remember this when they get to Shelob. At that point they need a smile, if only a small one. This is brilliant stuff. And I am dying to find out how Boromir is going to discover Why the Hobbits started plaguing Aragorn. I am sure it won't be as simple as just asking! And will the answer leave him with mixed loyalties? Will he continue siding with Aragorn or move over to help the Hobbits. Not that they seem to need help. And there really is nothing more frightening than normality coupled with a knowing smile when you are feeling guilty/worried. This story has the potential to run and run - more pleeese and son. Set you Dad onto thinking up plots or use some of the spare string to tie him up out of the way - just joking! If I could get my Dad to be computer literate I would be cheering. Author Reply: I imagine that Boromir would side with Aragorn, just to be safe. The hobbits have a pretty good grip on their pranks right now. But you're right, Aragorn is really scaring them with his knowing smiles. My dad doesn't really hold with fanficion, more's the pity. He thinks I should turn my talents to more productive uses, and as the wireless on my laptop is broken, I'm stuck on the family computer. Woes. More coming soon, though!

"Boromir goggled at him. “Certainly. Er, may I ask where your own sword is?” Being reforged, Aragorn thought dismally." LOL! That's priceless!!! The technique of only smiling knowingly works perfectly on the two hobbits! "It was like sitting on pins, Pippin thought as he and Merry nervously ate their soup. He hated suspense." Wonderful ;-) I hope that scream from the library didn't come from someone who went into Strider's trap, instead of Merry and Pippin? Author Reply: It may have been someone else. I don't know quite yet, lol! I'm glad you like it!
