Tee Hee! I can just picture Boromir, Frodo, Bilbo, etc eating popcorn up in the peanut gallery as they make their running commentary. Liked Merry's ink prank from "The Patriot" as well, poor Aragorn and Arwen won't be smooching for a long while I'm afraid.

A wonderful resolution, I must say! And the ink will linger that long? Interesting. What kind of dye was in it? Poor Aragorn--no kisses until the dye wears off? Does that mean not until the wedding? Heh! Author Reply: Actually, I got the ink prank from a movie, so I have no idea what was in the stuff to make it last so long. :) Arwen will see the light and Aragorn will get his kisses before he leaves. Poor man, he needs them!

Excellent!!! The entire story is wonderful, but the end of this chapter is truly inspired! "Let's join the Quest for a bit of a lark to keep away boredom." Brilliant!! Author Reply: Thank you! I still can't believe that this fic turned out as well as it did. :)

The picture of the rest of the Fellowship skulking in the gallery to observe the outcome is just delicious. Especially Legolas and Boromir collapsed with a fit of the giggles. Gandalf's bonding plan certainly worked! Except possibly between Aragorn and Merry/Pippin. I can somehow see those two getting stuck with most of the latrine-pit digging jobs over the next weeks. At least poor Elrond is close to getting his house back to its usual calm serenity. And then his head might stop aching! Author Reply: Somehow I can't imagine Aragorn tempting the hobbits' ire with latrine digging. But they've all truly bonded now, so yes, Gandalf's plan did work. Lol! Ah, Elrond. We'll be seeing more of him in the epilogue. ^_^

The war was started over a old fake map, I love it, and i thing Gandalf was having a good time with it as well. So the hobbits want to go on another adventure, hmmm, seems like a good time for the ranger to take them on a small hike up a very cold mountain. Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, things were not all they seemed. Poor Fellowship. :)

Wonderful conclusion to the war! lol I love that Gandalf couldn't keep a straight face, that everyone else was spying on the conference, that Merry was still peeved at the end because he was tricked by a pretend map and that Aragorn let it go with grace, even though his teeth will be black for the next month. Can't wait for the epilogue. :) Author Reply: Thanks! Everyone is feeling good about the war ending, Elrond especially. Poor guy. His reaction is in the epilogue.

(“I do hope that he doesn’t turn them into newts if they won’t do it,” Bilbo whispered. “I don’t like newts, even ones who are family.”) LOL!!! Great ending to a great story! I had a lot of fun reading this story and I'm a wee bit sad now, that it's over. There will be an epilogue? That sounds interesting. Legolas is right: "There really should be more hobbits in the world." And I totally agree with Sam: “Yes, as once we arrive, people don’t know what they’d do without us.” :) Author Reply: Bilbo's line had me laughing so hard! I'm glad you like it! I'm sad this is over now, too. Can you believe that I'd originally intended it to be four pages long? I'm going to have to think up something funny to write very quickly.

(“I do hope that he doesn’t turn them into newts if they won’t do it,” Bilbo whispered. “I don’t like newts, even ones who are family.”) A marvelous ending! Poor Aragorn, apologetic (yet still incorrigible) hobbits, a gleeful audience... what fun! :D Author Reply: Thanks! I'm going to have to think up something funny to write very quickly. I had so much fun writing this!
