| Thanks for the laughter warning - I was rolling on the floor and howling! Too much fun to quote fav bits but - He started it!!!!!- both a petulant and whimpering ranger is too funny for breakfast time. And a fake map - far too clever for me to have guessed. Brilliant and on my favourites list immediately! Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad I posted the second draft of the chapter: I usually write one draft and post it immediately, but this one was lacking something when I first finished it. So, I gave it a day and the rest of the Fellowhip decided to spy on Gandalf and Company, and so it turned out to be a much better chapter. I'm so happy I made you laugh! | |

| Oh, this was great! I especially loved Legolas saying "oh, snap". That just cracked me up. I also loved Bilbo's comment about newts. I'm sorry the prank war has to end - I've enjoyed it very much. Where in the world did you come up with so many good pranks? Author Reply: Isn't that line just perfect for Legolas?! I could so hear him saying right after Gandalf revealed that it was a fake map, and I just about died laughing. Something about the elf saying that just cracks me up. :) And yay for Monty Python! I adore newt jokes, and they work so well with hobbits. Most of the pranks came from Dreamflower, who emailed me a list of them, and from books and movies that I've read/seen. The fake map was actually in a comment from a reviewer back around chapter five or so, and I decided to use it. Lol! | |

| Now that was an amusing and fitting end to this adventure. And all because of an Elven Princess' childhood Treasure Map...ROTFLOL!!! Priceless!! I'm going to miss this fantastic story. The oneupmanship has been so funny to read about it. I need to save this story for those days when I need a good laugh. Thanks so much for sharing this w/all of us. | *howl* A *fake* map! I never thought it was completely *FAKE* I just figured it would be out of date or something. And Arwen used it as a plaything. I can't remember--did Merry and Pippin ever *confide* in Arwen as to *why* they were pranking Aragorn? And he's *marrying* her? Be afraid, Aragorn, be very afraid. This has been a complete delight of a story, by the way! Thanks for all the many laughs! I've enjoyed every single word of it! Author Reply: No, Merry and Pippin never did tell Arwen why they were mad at Aragorn. She just joined them in order to get back at Legolas for teasing her one too many times. Poor Aragorn, he needs a hug. :) Thank you! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it; I never thought that it would turn out so well. | |
