Hmm...well, I can totally see this being both helpful and problematic...

Wonderful! Everyone is coming along. Now I'm sure Sam feels much better about it all.

I am glad he is avoiding the stairs this time, as well as Shelob's lair. Hopefully they will not face too great a trip for Frodo, and he's now encompassed about with a great deal of love, at least.

I'd really like to see more of this. Fellowship interactions that show the promise of h/c... my kind of story! <>< Saved from sin through Christ, mj

And the Fellowship sets out on a new Quest! Poor Sam. He saw aome of the things they did to Frodo and he has his own memories to battle too. It was very nice to see the scene with Sam and Aragorn too. Off to next chapter!

This is a very powerful chapter, and very moving. Frodo is so brave to risk going back, even knowing that it may evoke such painful memories. But poor Sam, so worried for Frodo. But as much pain as may be in store for them (and us) the fact that the Fellowship will be together again is a delight- I love how you write the relationships among them.

Better late than never with a review, I always say. ;) I look forward to seeing how you will handle this. I'll put my vote in now for lots of strong Frodo with my Frodo angst (that's the secret to really intense angsty flavor, doncha know? Hehehee!) but however this one comes out, I am sure it will be a good story. It's from Shirebound! Thank you for posting it.

Ah so the Fellowship is reunited in quest once more! I had suspected that perhaps Faramir would replace Boromir but I see this is not to be. Ah well. Someone has to see to the affairs of the Kingdom.

I had no time to review this yesterday--but I just want to say how much I loved it. The interaction between them all is lovely: I especially like Aragorn's gentle insistence on taking care of Frodo and Frodo's altogether pointless worry about "what will people think". But what I like best is that now the others will have a chance to do what they wished to do all along--accompany Frodo to the end of his Quest, even though it is a somewhat different one. For instead of going to get *rid* of something, he is going to *recover* something--his memory of what happened. However it turns out, it will go a long way to mitigating the guilt the others must have felt for allowing Frodo to slip away from them.
