Finally found it tonight, and get to finish it. Oh, how I hate computer problems! Love the gentleness with which the three wounded ones here are being treated. And that Merry insists on taking Frodo in his own arms. Beautiful images it brings to mind. Author Reply: Oh no, not the dread computer problems! They should ALWAYS WORK. Always. Thank you. I just had to bring some cuddlesomeness into this story.

Yes, I wonder what the Men must think, watching their wonderful healer-King tending to the Ring-bearers. A beautiful picture, Shirebound. “Strider, are you sure that’s just milk he’s drinking? Tooks get a bit incoherent when they hit the pubs, you know.” This made me giggle! Trust a hobbit to ask the practical questions. Author Reply: I love to view the hobbits through the eyes of others, especially when those others are respectful and appreciative.

Nice job, This story is really cool. Its a great gapfiller and the way you explained how the hobbits felt for eachother. I'm adding this one to my favorites! Great job. Author Reply: Thank you, Aragorn! I'm enjoying filling in this "gap", and hope to have another chapter up by Monday. :D

I still laugh when I read the way Pippin is attempting to explain the difference between unconcious and sleeping! Such a lovely chapter and Merry with Frodo! Wonderful! Author Reply: Pippin is just so very... Pippin! And Merry truly needed to feel for himself that his cousin wasn't in pain or distress.

I am glad you adress the issue of how Frodo and Sam managed to eat. I love the humour in this chapter.Aragorn certainly has his hands full ! Author Reply: There have been a lot of imaginings in fanfic about how the Ring-bearers were nourished during this time (or even if they needed to be), and it's interesting how we all have different ways of writing about it. :D

Got to love how Pippin really did try to get Aragorn to give him leave to get out of bed, but Aragorn wasn't having any of it. Oh well...Pip *did* have to try. :oD Poor Merry...That first look at Frodo and Sam could not have been easy. Pippin's explanation of sleeping and being unconcious was very logical. Which considering I always feel Merry's the logical one of the four, is a nice difference for once. And that mental image of Aragorn holding a bundled in a blanket Frodo..Sigh!! Just the right touch of fluff for such a serious chapter. No wonder the wounded Men couldn't keep a smile off their face seeing a King who heals. I'm sure the thought that the Lord Denethor wouldn't have dared stooped to such a thing was also passing through those men's minds. Once again, another example of the changing Age and era. What a perfect ending. The fact Gimli had brought their supper was a *very* important thing. ;oD Looking forward to more of this my friend. :o) Author Reply: That's a great perception, Tigger. Soldiers who had grown used to the rather impersonal and regimented (and perhaps humorless) way Denethor most likely ruled would have been astonished by what they were seeing here. A compassionate and wise healer-King is a marvelous thing indeed. As are heartwarming, delightful hobbits! I just don't know what's the matter with me, though. How did that fluff sneak in? :D

I'm late to the party, as seems to be happening all too often lately. This is beautiful! The Men being honored to have the Hobbits in their tent. Gimli watching over Pip. Merry getting to hold Frodo. Beautiful :) Author Reply: How can feedback ever be late, or unappreciated? Pearl, the party is wherever you are. I'm so happy you're enjoying this. :D

They’re all alive. All three. I still can’t believe it. He shook himself out of his tumbling thoughts. This was an excellent, sweet reunion between the wakeful/sleeping hobbits! So very Merry, too! I want can hardly wait to see what transpires when Frodo and Sam wake--I know you have something special up your sleeve. :-) (snicker)...Pippin's still trying to get out of bed... Pippinfan Author Reply: I do love reunions, especially loving and sweet ones. Yes, Pip will obey his King and healer, but I suspect that he'll be on his feet the second he's allowed to be. :D
