This is really upnlitfig *sigh* I dont like that I have this problem and I try to keep things in perspective because I know the world doesn't revovle around myself but at times I just get the feeling that everyone is looking at me and judging me for my every mistake, it makes it hard to even interact with people without being even in the least anxious. This is upnlitfig though and I will def turn my problems to the Lord because at this point he is the only one that can help me. Thanks for the post and your helping people like us by just talking about your situations and giving us all courage.

And now comes the reaction. I must say I really enjoy these parts of the story as they give so much more insight into different characters. Ingwion is already redeeming himself, for which I am very happy. I'm guessing, even without being reborn, Ingwion would be quite a bit older than Glorfindel. Is he about the same age as Arafinwë? (Is it even possible to make such comparisons with immortals?) Tinwetariel is annoying, but Ingoldo makes me uneasy. I hope Ingwë is watching his back. I thought the comment that Inwë made at the end of the chapter was interesting. Why would Ingoldo fear Ingwion but not Ingwë? Perhaps it is because, being Ingwë's brother, Ingoldo is able to pass over him as "just" a sibling. Sometimes the people easiest to overlook are, sadly, those closest to us. Ingwion showed a lot of self possession in this chapter. He seemed to take his uncle and aunt very much in stride, not backing down but not rising to the bait either. I wonder if he gets that from his Atar. Beyond this he seems to be very teachable, meaning he knows when to admit his mistakes and when to learn from them. I hope to see more of him :) "Don’t," Findis sniggered. "Eärwen wrote and told me that my brother has never been happier since Glorfindel and the Sinda... what’s his name?... Sador... came to live with them. I suspect it’s like having my other nephews back." Trust it to your sister to not by sympathetic. This made me laugh, and I'm glad that Arafinwë and Eärwen are happier now with more "children" in their lives. They make good parents It keeps them young ;) Speaking of which, I do hope to see the other two soon, especially Sador. Interesting that Ingwë made such a point of making Glorfindel's ban known to Ingwion. Apparently he felt the need to make it a king's order instead of just telling him as his Atar. I'm a little concerned that he said that in front of Ingoldo and Tinwetariel. They might be all too happy to make life even more miserable for Glorfindel. If they do, I hope Ingwion makes their lives miserable. Happy Thanksgiving, Fiondil! Thank you for another lovely chapter :) Author Reply: Hi Hawkeye. Ingwion is very much older than Glorfindel and in fact he is several hundred years older than Arafinwë. As to why Ingoldo fears Ingwion more than Ingwë, you would have to read "In Darkness Bound" to find the answer to that. We will see that Ingwë making known to everyone Glorfindel's ban will have serious consequences later on, but to say anything more would spoil things for you. At any rate, Ingoldo should make you uneasy, as you will see why soon enough. We'll catch up with Sador and Finrod eventually, I promise. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving as well.

So here I am once again, meldonya, to tell you that I officially love Ingwion (well, you know I like Ingwion anyway, but here I do love him) for apologizing to his atar and promising to do his best to care for Glorfindel. He's so wonderful. *grin* *muses* Is Ingwion married? Does he have elflings? If he's Arafinwe's first cousin, surely he's old enough? What about Indil, how old is she? ~Kaylee!! *hoping you have fun in Moscow and St. Petersburg, meldonya!* Author Reply: Ingwion is cool and he definitely grows on one. I think he's one of my favorite OCs although he's something of a canon character in the sense that in earlier writings Ingwë's son is mentioned though there he has the name Ingil. I was unaware of that initially so I gave him the name Ingwion instead. He is certainly old enough to marry as is Indil. Her wedding is mentioned in my short story "iLálala Vala" found in "Fiondil's Tapestry".

I find I like Ingwion--he is humble enough to admit his mistakes, and great enough to learn from them. Brother and sister-in-law need their correction, though, and I don't know if they'll learn from Ingwe and his son or not. Author Reply: Ingwion started out as rather arrogant but he has a nobility to him that does come out and eventually he just grew on me as a character. He's one of my favorite OCs now. *grin*

I love Findis (not only) for the embroidery comment! It was so incongruous with everything else, wonderful way to cut off the discussion. I'm glad you don't stick to one point of view, because this family debate was too interesting to miss it. Ingwion was really nicely volunteered by his father. It will be interesting to get to know him, if Ingoldo and Tinwetariel fear him. Author Reply: Glad you liked the "family debate". It was really too fun not to write and Findis' comment about Glorfindel's embroidery was just too funny. While the main focus of the story is, of course, our intrepid Balrog-slayer, looking at other's POVs especially their reaction to Glorfindel just makes for a more interesting story IMHO. In fact, there are several chapters coming up where Glorfindel does not feature at all (and there's a reason for this but I won't spoil it for you).

Isn't it typical! Those who weren't there know best what happened and who was to blame for it. Ingoldo and Tinwetariel are nastily narrow and prejudiced - if Namo wants to sharpen his nails on anyone ... Ingwion has a much better grasp of reality! But Not after the last time??? And what would make Ingoldo blanch and Tinwetariel gasp in dismay They are both more than a little arrogant. Author Reply: Ah, I actualy have no idea what Ingwë is talking about. I'm curious to know why Ingoldo fears Ingwion, even if he doesn't fear his own brother. Maybe we'll all find out eventually. I have a feeling though that "last time" may have something to do with the Darkening. Perhaps Ingoldo attempted a coup in the ensuing confusion after the Two Trees were destroyed. I'm sure more was going on than just the Noldor rebelling. I've often wondered why Ingwë as High King was apparently so clueless about it all. Maybe he was too busy hanging on to his own crown to worry about anything else at the time. Now that would be an interesting story to write, wouldn't it?

I don't know Fiondil, I love this story but I'm getting a little PO'd with Namo! (Is getting mad at the valar allowed?) Why is he picking on Glorifindel? I think Ingoldo, Tinwetariel and Findis all need a lightning bolt to the butt, they've done nothing but try to humiliate poor glori. I think some one else told you this but I too enjoy how you portray the valar. Post soon Author Reply: Why are you picking on poor Findis? She's on Glorfindel's side after all. She's the one who admired his embroidery skills and admonished Alassiel for being rude to our hero. I'm glad though that you enjoy my portrayal of the Valar, even Lord Námo, who only picks on people he REALLY likes. LOL.
