| I've spent so much time catching up with the story that now I don't have time to review properly. Sador's storyline was great and happenings on Tol Eressea really interesting. Glorfindel's host turning out to be Manwe shouldn's surprise me - well, who else on Taniquetil? And finally I know more about the Hunt. As to the trial... wonderfully complex, with Vorondil's father arriving, various Valar appearing... I was surprised at first by their treatment of Vorondil, but I suppose it's the best way to change his views. Author Reply: Well, you will have time over the next week to write proper reviews if you so desire as I will be on holiday in a few days and won't be dragging my laptop with me. I plan to update with three new chapters before I leave but I will not be updating again until the following weekend. At any rate I'm glad you enjoyed the chapters to date. The next three chapters will detail the relationship between Finrod and Vorondil in Lórien. | |

| You might consider adding a note to explain Valanya, at least for people like me who miss the obvious with the first reading, or are more familiar with the Shire names for the days of the week -- then again, that’s not necessarily very many of your readers. [Yes, I figured it out, but it took awhile, and was my third explanation....] Brave of Alassiel to go along. I see you have had your revenge on Tinwetariel: she only receives the barest reference, and isn’t allowed (by the author) to speak! Poor Ingwion. Author Reply: I will take your suggestion and add a note. I'm sure I mentioned it in a previous chapter, but it was so long ago, even I can't remember which one! Yes, I do get my revenge on that evil woman, don't I? *grin* As for Ingwion... well, I devote several chapters on his plight alone, so we'll all find out what happens to him at Nienna's. | |

| Glad to be rid of Ingoldo and Tinwetariel. I’m not sure which time of the Second Age that is, but I hope they will have a very long time to stay in Formenos. Though I wonder a bit – is exile alone enough to get them to see reason, or will they only be even more embittered and resentful as they are now? Maybe they need something of an eye-opener ... What an image – the Valar in all their glory with the sunset in the background ... very impressive. Though I doubt Ingoldo and his wife were able to enjoy it *grin* Thinking about it ... Vorondil tending to the Reborn is rather ironic, at least at first sight. But he may learn very soon how wrong he was, and so it seems fitting. And now I have an idea why only Glorfindel was sent back to Endórë and not Finrod, too. If that is continuing at this rate, imagine the large retinue of people Finrod would have, all sworn to his service and refusing to stay back ;-) Author Reply: We are still early in the Second Age, not even past the first millennium, so Ingoldo and Tinwetariel's exile will last for well over 3000 years (the Second Age ended in the year 3434). Glorfindel and Finrod in Endórë together!? I suspect half the reason Glorfindel was sent back to Endórë was to separate these two for a while or they might have ended up taking over the joint entirely! *lol* | |

| I hope Ingoldo and Tinwetariel get some intensive ... counselling or something. Otherwise their views might have fossilised into even greater resentment by the end of the age. Formenos, after all, didn't do Feanor a great deal of good. And Morgoth came back from exile with a more honeyed tongue, but, if anything, worse than he'd been in the first place. Lirulin, on the other hand, surely has an even greater reason to adjust to life - she is now Alassiel's only parent and she's just seen her grandparents penalised for their actions. The elleth needs support at this time! So - these events are sorted out. But the greater problems still need tackling if the Blessed Realm is truly to be a place where the Peace of the Valar extends to the state of mind of the inhabitants. Author Reply: I'm sure that the Maiar who have been assigned to guard Formenos will be doing more than just guarding. I have no doubt that they will be acting as counselors as well, in the hopes of rehabilitating the criminals. Of all those being sent to Formenos, Ingoldo, Tinwetariel and Tulcaner are perhaps the most dangerous and less likely to reform. Hopefully, the Valar have a plan for that. You are correct that the greater problems still need tackling and we will see how that works out in subsequent chapters. This story ain't over yet! | |

| Excellent resolution to the whole situation! Very intriguing. The might of the Valar was clearly not to be gainsaid in this. Finrod is very compassionate indeed in his treatment of Vorondil. Wonderful tale as always! Author Reply: Thank you. The might of the Valar is indeed not to be gainsaid, or trifled with and Finrod is much too compassionate a person to hold a grudge against an elfling, which is what Vorondil still is, being only 44 years old. | |
