| The love of a mother for her child can be so great, and I'm glad of the references you've included as well. Thank you. Author Reply: Yes, I cannot help to think that eventually all of her sons will be released from Mandos (okay that is when Mandos deems them ready and the want to), they will see their mother again. But Tolkien left Maglor on the other side of the shores (I re-checked HOME recently for that), poor Nerdanel. As a mom myself it feels like such a punishment to her, all she has left is his voice and his laments because her voice doesn't has that reach... | |
