| Oh my goodness, meldonya, this had to be the funniest thing I've ever read in LOTR fanfic ever! I was hearing Vivien Leigh's voice in my head through the whole thing and trying to stifle my laughter so as not to disturb my upstairs neighbor who works the night shift. And the last line... I'm surprised my ribs aren't broken from laughing so hard (and it's true, white is definitely NOT her colour). This was (to quote my Aunt Sally) "a hoot" to read! Edlyn Author Reply: Thanks Edlyn. | I see Galadriel has adopted Glorfindel's favourite curse ;-) For some reason it seemed very funny to have Galadriel, of all ellith, complain about war talk. Somehow I see her not as the most feminine elleth in the world. And it appears she didn't listen to Melian, either, about wearing white *grin* Author Reply: Well, I always thought Galadriel to be the least "feminine" of all of Tolkien's female characters, so her acting like the epitome of the Southern Belle was just too funny. And no, it doesn't seem she took Melian's advice at all, did she? *grin* | |
